The Fact Train
(Assurance of Salvation)
The train with or with out the caboose will run However it would be
futile to attempt to pull the train by the caboose. In the same way, we
as Christian do not depend upon feeling or emotions, but we place
our faith and trust in the trustworthiness of God and His promises in
His word.

Fact is defined as any thing done, or that comes to pass; an act; a
deed; an effect produced or achieved; an event. Witnesses are
introduced into court to prove a fact. Facts are stubborn things. To
deny a fact knowingly is to lie.

John 4:46-54 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And
there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus was
come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come
down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.  Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye
see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.  The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere
my child die.  Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word
that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. And as he was now going down, his
servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.  Then enquired he of them the hour
when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left
him. So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son
liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house. This is again the second miracle that Jesus
did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.

God's word is true that is a fact.

The nobleman took Jesus' own words that His son was healed to be a fact.
We to must take God at His word just like the nobleman.

Faith is defined asbelief; the assent of the mind to the truth of what is declared by another,
resting on his authority and veracity, without other evidence; the judgment that what another
states or testifies is the truth. I have strong faith or no faith in the testimony of a witness, or in
what a historian narrates.

We have faith if we have witnesses. Just like in the story below. The
nobelman had faith based on the fact he belief in what Jesus said and it
became a fact. If he had seen that his son was not well or was dead after
Jesus said he was well he would not have believed. But he took Jesus' word
as a fact which produce faith. Take a look at what God?s word says

1 John 5:11-15 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his
Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These
things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know
that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. And this is the
confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we
desired of him.

1 John 5:19-20 1 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And
we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know
him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true
God, and eternal life.

1 John 3:24  And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And
hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

1 John 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his
Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or
Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Hebrews 2:14-15 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also
himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the
power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their
lifetime subject to bondage.

2 Timothy 2:1-2 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus And the
things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful
men, who shall be able to teach others also.

1 Thessalonians 1:5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in
the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you
for your sake.

John 5:24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that
sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death
unto life.

1 John 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his
Spirit.

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your
salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Three reasons I know I'm Saved

1. God ''s word says so

John 10:27-29 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto
them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my
hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out
of my Father's hand.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in
no wise cast out.

2. Holy Spirit says so

Romans 8:13-16; For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify
the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the
sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received
the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our
spirit, that we are the children of God:

3. My life says so

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed
away; behold, all things are become new.
