14 Days of God's Gift Giving

Matthew 1:20-25 KJV
(20) But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of
the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son
of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which
is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
(21) And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name
JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
(22) Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was
spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
(23) Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a
son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being
interpreted is, God with us.
(24) Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the
Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
(25) And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son:
and he called his name JESUS.
Today we going to talk about dreams. Dreams while sleeping are
similar to visions when awake. Yet it is in the state of
unconscious peace and mayhem, that God uses to get one
attention. God uses a course of action. First action was to allow
Joseph to know before He spoke to him that his fiancée was
pregnant. Pregnant by the Holy Spirit. I really do not feel Joseph
was yet convinced that it was so. Then angel of the Lord
appeared in a dream. If God’s angel can influence our sleep so
can the enemy. No one wants to think about it, however Indians
make dream catchers and put them over their children’s beds for
protection. When walking on the edge of discussing dreams and
vision in the Christian world the enemy will love to try and use
their magical art to explain what they see as well. How does one
learn the difference if something is of God or not. The angel used
Isaiah prophesy in Isaiah concerning Emmanuel. No doubt Joseph
knew scripture because upon hearing and awaking he rose up
and took Mary as wife, not sleeping with her until the birth of
Mary’s first born son arrived.
Faith upon experiencing a dream. Faith to do the bidding of God
when angel spoke takes faith. In the New testament there are
warnings of the antichrist being messengers of light. Some
believe that the Mormon leader Young vision was not of God.
Mormon church joined the SBC a few years back. Many church
orgs are joining forces despite disagreements. The Bible went
into places that it might not otherwise gone into. Was it of God?
Antichrist preaches, gives visions, invades the sleeping world to
tear down Christ church. Over the years what I have learned is
that if God’s word is present then one better examine it and what
is said. Men and women use deception to get what they want all
the time. Devil is the master of deception. God’s word reigns.
Even the devil uses scripture, so all of it must be examined if it is
of God or not.
Dreams can be heavenly blessings, and direction or it can lead
you in a devils snare. Thank God for scriptures remembrance
that can be studies and sought out. Is what is told true? The
examination of God with us Emmanuel meaning God with us.
Confirmation of His Word to Joseph, and a blessed promise to all
that believe in the Messiah birth. The Messiah envisioned by
dreams, by interpretation, by vision, by prophesy, by teaching
and preaching, by gift of languages, by the interpretation given,
and not least through the written word. What we hear is it from
God you can not know without knowing God by his Holy Spirit
that testifies to our hearts and minds through His gifts of visions,
dreams, interpretation, languages, and the written word. May this
Christmas season instill the proof of God through evidence found
in scripture and in your life.
Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the giving of dreams that
speak your word and testify of your Spirit. In Jesus precious
name, Amen.
