Final Announcement My website http://www.turtle30cshell.com was not a website built overnight like so many are today. It been a work in progress over the past seven years. In 2005 I got a free page through Geocity web hosting and placed a turtle on the site page and did nothing for six months. I said Lord this space I want to use for your glory. It sat there and sat there. I knew nothing would happen with it until I put something there, but I had no clue what to do or how to use even the simplest of software provided. I did not even know what I was going to put on the webpage, however on another site called msn groups I had started a group that was not to successful. Yet it was there that ground work for these webpage began. I began a Bible study that took off called Faith which is not on this site, taken from Hebrews chapter 11. However Hebrews chapter 11 is in one of the Bible called can you reach God, not positive on which lesson without looking. The next study which is on this site was the first one to be written was called Love Lessons on the Gospel of John. Some were mad because I did not include three chapters in the study in John but reserved them for the Holy Spirit Bible study. Each study in order preceded the next study. All Four Gospels have been used looking at different aspects of what each Gospel presents, yet it not the only aspect or direction in which these books can be study. These lessons were designed that scripture itself would be examined and not so much my words. God’s word is the most precious thing you and I have that assures our hearts of when God speaks to us it is from Him. Yet even without scripture God is able to speak to man’s heart. If our Bible is ever taken from us God has the ability to still speak and to raise up leaders in the Christian kingdom. A kingdom not built with human hands. A foundation built on the word of God. What God says He will perform. However in the case of Jonah we know man repented and God did not destroy Nineveh. God mercy is great in all circumstances. The website is dedicated to God and is for the soul purpose of sharing the gospel. Though I am adding other things daily like cards and tag section, it is only an attraction or sideshow just like the fun stuff section. Yet hopefully they are doorways to bring people to scripture that do not know God. If Jesus is to glorified it must have people that will take time to see what God says. I was called preach and to teach, just like every disciple of Christ is called, yet we do not all have the same gifts. This site at some point hosting changed to Yahoo site builders. Slowly this site went from free to paid hosting. I never ask for money from viewers on this site for support of this ministry and hopefully I never will. I never want someone to feel that if you do not have money that you are unworthy to hear the gospel preach. For God is not respecter of person’s. God is not concern about what is in your pocket in the since of being able to hear from God. Whether your rich or poor the Gospel is still the same. Yes this was the last Bible Study in the Bible study section, however it is not the last study as some might think. I am expanding to audio. And though I am not going to guaranteeing a weekly lesson. I am working toward a more user friendly application. I am not the worlds best speaker, but I am not half bad. And this site is for those without a church home, for those with a church home and for those pastors and teachers that are just looking for a little more scripture. There are many more influential speakers then me. And with widespread of video though Christians sites like Cross Tv as well as non Christian sites like U tube there will always be an availability of the Gospel message going forth around the world. I praise God for technology that is making the Gospel more widely spread. Now I do have a prayer request that is public and it is concerning the decision to possibly turning my cards and tag section into a donation section for use of these things. I have not decided yet. However if I do it does not change what else I do on this site. Right now I am searching in my own resources and talents to find a way to bring in a little income to my home. I refuse to take money for spreading the Gospel that is a choice, because Gospel was freely given to me. This might make some ministers mad. All ministers are worth their hire. Each minister can not support the ministry without either doing bivocational work, or working inside the church fulltime. I am choosing a form of bivocational work. This should satisfy the church world with this announcement or anger them. And in truth I have decided it makes no difference what anyone thinks but God. If cards and tags should go to contribution, I might set up a new site for this purpose, then again I might work it from the same domain name. Not sure yet. It called freedom. As long as I got space I might as well use it. So keep this site in prayer as it continues to grow, I might just have to hire someone if it gets to busy. However here is the point to pastor full time offline is a lot of work for many pastors, it not just sitting and studying all week but doing evangelistic work as well, as well as tend to the needs of the flock. However there are many stray sheep out there and many sheep that do not know they are sheep yet out there. There plenty of room to minister to people on and offline. Find your talent and get busy sharing the Gospel of Jesus. |
