Are You Standing In Hot Coals?
Lesson 22: by turtle

There two types of devils that plague the church world. Last week the issue of saying they are Jews but are not. And we
talked about the issue of money hungry churches. Now we going to talk about the second type of devil which we have
covered before and this is the devil that comes in teaching to worship other gods. I do believe there are people that come out
of the occult world and do get saved. Why because it happened in the Bible. There those who worship idols, and practice
divination. Thought these people are welcome to learn about God they are not welcome to teach there faith inside a church.
John address the next church in Revelations.

Revelation 2:12-29 KJV
(12)  And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
(13)  I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not
denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan
dwelleth.
(14)  But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac
to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
(15)  So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.
(16)  Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
(17)  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of
the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he
that receiveth it.
(18)  And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a
flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
(19)  I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than
the first.
(20)  Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a
prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
(21)  And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
(22)  Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of
their deeds.
(23)  And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and
hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
(24)  But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the
depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
(25)  But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
(26)  And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
(27)  And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received
of my Father.
(28)  And I will give him the morning star.
(29)  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

I realize last week I never finished my lesson I started on  Pergamos, but will be combining it in with this weeks lesson on
the church of Thyatira. I really wish it was enough for churches just to be active in good works, never having to worry about
what is being taught in the church. Some churches except a letter from another church when a person changes church
membership. This letter speaks of good works of individual. This is like giving a stamp of approval. However what if they
church they come from is corrupt. Something I have learned over the years is that a good name goes far. However speech is
a good qualification has well. However it best not to put them to work immediately in the church. Main reason one needs to
prove themselves. Rich men can buy friends. Can even buy them into coming to church. They can learn the language of the
church world. It concernments the deception that the devil can do in a church. One qualification of bringing people into
church really needs to be is discipleship. Teaching those you bring into the fellowship of the church. Teach people what you
know about Jesus and no other religion.

I have had conversations with people that do not believe the same way I do. Yet in order to learn what they believe you
have to ask questions. These people who claim to be Christians coming from a past can speak to another Christian about
that past for education purposes, however they can not speak or teach it in the church. If it is ever discussed in church it
should be for educational purposes for other believers not for non believers.

Nicolaitans were those who ate sacrifices of idols as well as practiced fornication. Fornication act of sexual immorality.
These people were also known to follow false prophets.

Revelation 2:14-15 KJV
(14)  But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac
to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
(15)  So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

Now Thyatira had the same problem. There was a woman name Jezebel.

Revelation 2:20-24 KJV

There is a plague of death that is a curse upon this church, however something to note, is ti is made clear that God knows
each and every heart and will judge based on works. It clear God can work even in churches that have serious problems.
Paul had a remedy for it.

1 Corinthians 5:9-13 KJV
(9)  I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
(10)  Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then
must ye needs go out of the world.
(11)  But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous,
or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
(12)  For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
(13)  But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

I really think there is a fine line in the passage. The fine line is called sanctification. Paul is not talking about a new convert, I
do believe. I think he talking more on the lines of someone being in the church a long time, who is seeped in sin. That is
when you have to reject them. If one repents one then needs to accept them. No one is perfect. Not one.
