Can You Reach God
Lesson Eight: by turtle

If you ever build a house you know you need to start with blueprints, if you don’t have a blueprints some kind of plan needs to
be made. A house without blueprints will crumble. However even in today’s world with destructive of hurricanes, tornados,
and earthquakes one needs to consider what type of foundation one is building on. If you build in a flood plain sooner or later
the house will be flood. Build on a hill it might get shaken. Build on a shore and a storm might blow it down. Build on the solid
rock of Jesus and I guarantee it will not crumble. However building on a rock an earthquake can crumble it. However what
man builds can be destroyed by some means, yet what God builds it will be solid and indestructible. Christ is the solid rock that
is indestructible. Man no matter how hard he/she tries to destroy something that God builds it can not be destroyed. God
people stand even in the worst of battles. However anything built out of natural rocks, wood and so forth, sooner or later will
fall. Buildings intended to be built for hundred of years will not stand for much long then that if they stand that long. However
spiritual houses must be built on the creator of all things.

Ephesians 3:9 KJV
(9)  And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in
God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Colossians 1:16 KJV
(16)  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones,
or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

We know the world was created by God when God spoke the word took form. Christ is the word of God. The word of God
became flesh and dwelt among men. And yet even though we know this, we understand also God created the world in seven
days. The Bible says seven days, I take God’s word for it. How He did it or how long a day was I do not know. Yet God
created. God showing us Himself in three person yet being one. God being three from the beginning and even at the end. Yet
God manifest himself for us in his Son.

1 Peter 1:20-21 KJV
(20)  Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
(21)  Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be
in God.

2 Timothy 1:9-10 KJV
(9)  Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and
grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
(10)  But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life
and immortality to light through the gospel:

1 Timothy 3:15-16 KJV
(15)  But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church
of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
(16)  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of
angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Colossians 1:25-28 KJV
(25)  Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of
God;
(26)  Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
(27)  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in
you, the hope of glory:
(28)  Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in
Christ Jesus:

Now in order to reach God we need the foundation of Jesus Christ. Hold on what. Let us back up a bit and look at Hebrews 3.

Hebrews 3:1-6 KJV
(1)  Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ
Jesus;
(2)  Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
(3)  For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more
honour than the house.
(4)  For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
(5)  And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
(6)  But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope
firm unto the end.

What does it mean to be built on the prophets and on Moses. First of all none of the prophets, not even Moses could saved
anyone. However the foundation they built with was God. The taught who Jehovah is. They taught who the Messiah would
be. They taught of the consequences of not following after God. No matter what to build on the foundation one has to build on
God. Now we know that Christ is God in the flesh. He is the Son of God, He is God the Son. If you do not understand these
points go back and read the other Bible studies with this Bible study. Jesus was better then Moses and all the other prophets.
He was after all the Son of the living God. He was after all completely from God and was the word of God. Christ was in
charge of His own house He is building. However let us put things in order with the gospel concerning sheep.

John 10:14-18 KJV
(14)  I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
(15)  As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
(16)  And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall
be one fold, and one shepherd.
(17)  Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
(18)  No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.
This commandment have I received of my Father.

The house that Christ is building is not a separate house then the one His Father is building. It is a house built on the solid
foundation of Jesus Christ, the word of God. However it is separate in the since Christ is going to the lost sheep of Israel. To
those in the world that have either forgotten God or know not God. He is going to the gentile nation to graft them in to the
foundation. To help them built on the foundation through salvation in Christ Jesus. The house though separate is the same
house. The house of God is the same. I am going to continue this next week. In order to reach God we need to reach God on
His terms.
