Why Should God’s Law Not Be Broken

Deuteronomy 28:58-62 KJV
(58)  If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law
that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this
glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
(59)  Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and
the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long
continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
(60)  Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of
Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto
thee.
(61)  Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not
written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring
upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
(62)  And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were
as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest
not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.

If God’s word be true, then the sick and the down trodden of
this world is seeped in sin. Result of sin not so easily
removed. Does God have people that are poor financially in
this earth sure, as well as the rich. Yet I seen poor the know
that God’s word is true and hold to it daily in their life. Their
kids prosper and are help to them in old age. I seen those
seeped in sin kids rise up only to fall when the next scam
fails leaving them in the ditch or partying with their friends no
clue that death comes even before old age.

God is merciful through out the generations because of
ancestors. Example is King David’s sons like Solomon was
blessed because of David, yet Solomon’s sons and children
to follow were cursed if they did not follow the ways of God.
The law of God is not destructible, it purpose was fulfilled
through the cross. It points to the unrighteousness of man
and makes man aware of their sin and the consequences of
disobedience to God.

No one wants to think there is consequences for their
actions, but in truth some break the law and get by with it.
Only to find themselves wondering why they are not caught
or punished, making them think they are invisible until they do
more crime without consequences for their actions. It
becomes like a game of how far they can go without being
caught and knowing that more laws have to be broken if
someone observes their actions and could report it to
authorities. God sees all, it is already reported to God, does
not matter if you get locked up here. God will correct you
when you stand before him. God will correct you because
His word does not change.

How often one think the word of God can be avoided,
because we see nothing wrong with sin or what one does. In
our own mind we are justified, but in God’s eyes one is
condemned already because one fails to hear the word He
as already spoken and provide and one may doubt the
validity of the word of God. Jesus came as proof to a
generation that was in need of revival. Proof that God’s word
was everlasting. God basically says curses will fall if you do
not repent. Curses will continue to fall if you do not heed His
word. Your heart will comes as stone like pharaoh and you
will see the wrath of God and will not be able to repent. The
fire coming will not be quenched, not even with you drowning
in the Red Sea. God mercy will not be because you fail to
heed the truth of God’s word.

What is the truth all that follow the ways of God are blessed,
even those that do not believe in God but obey God’s
commands are blessed. Several types of laws in the Old
Testament, both spiritual, physical and legal laws. Laws for
purification/cleanliness and dietary laws that were written
because of communal diseases that effected everyone in
society. Then their was legal law that keep society from
being in a constant war with their neighbor and peace with all
men. And then their spiritual law which blessings of God
pours out for all that honor Him. There is religious law that
reminds us all of our faith in God. All these laws are
important, but two laws that are obeyed by all keep peace in
society. Yet blessings flow for those that practice the latter
two I have mentioned.

Does God’s word still have value today, sure it does, but do
society laws change to a degree we have improved methods
to prevent some health issues, but the time they were
written they were things that even today still work. It kind of
like old cleaning recipes still have their value, but there are
some products on the shelf in the store that work not
necessarily better, but are more convenient to use.

God’s word still works in Old Testament as far as pointing
out sin and the need for repentance, but the sacrificial law
for sin as far as animal sacrifice is done away with the
crucifixion of Jesus, who was the precious sacrificial Lamb of
God. Jesus came to fulfill the law of sacrifice for sin, so their
be no more blood shed. Yet it does not mean God does not
correct. It does not mean sacrifice of something does not
come. Like sacrifice of that perfect job, or the hot meal,
because you bought a beer instead and laid drunk all night.
There consequences for your actions that affect you and
your children. Blessing will flow if you obey God.

Dear Heavenly Father help us to obey your commandments
and to follow your will for our lives so the blessings you
desire to give will flow freely because of our obedience. In
Jesus precious name, Amen.
