God/Father of Those Who Fear Him.
Lesson Four: by turtle

We stopped at God created male and female, I would like to continue this point this week.
Starting with a Psalm.

Psalms 8:3-9 KJV
(3)  When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou
hast ordained;
(4)  What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
(5)  For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and
honour.
(6)  Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things
under his feet:
(7)  All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
(8)  The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the
seas.
(9)  O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

Why is man so important to God. Why raise him up above all living creatures yet he made him
lower the angles. God made man for commune with Him. As we look at how man was created
we will also see how God desire to spend time with man.

Genesis 2:7-15 KJV
(7)  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils
the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
(8)  And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he
had formed.
(9)  And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight,
and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of
good and evil.
(10)  And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and
became into four heads.
(11)  The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah,
where there is gold;
(12)  And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
(13)  And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land
of Ethiopia.
(14)  And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of
Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
(15)  And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to
keep it.

God created man out of the dust of the ground and breathe life into him. He made a special
place for him to live and gave him a special task to do. The garden was a beautiful place for
man. Man was lonely so God created women out of Adam’s rib.

Genesis 2:21-25 KJV
(21)  And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took
one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
(22)  And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought
her unto the man.
(23)  And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called
Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
(24)  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and
they shall be one flesh.
(25)  And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Woman was formed to be a help mate for man. She was to help him with the task God had
given man. God did not desire for man to be alone but to have a helper. God love Adam and
Eve so when Eve and Adam sinned it disappoint God. He had come to spend time with Adam
and Eve when He found they had sinned.

Genesis 3:8-9 KJV
(8)  And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day:
and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees
of the garden.
(9)  And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

God always desire to spend time with man, but when man sinned he was in direct
disobedience to God. God through out Old and New testament wants us to continue to walk
with Him and have a relationship with Him. God is a personal God. He could not allow sin to
come in between his relationship with man. So God sent His Son to take away our sin. We
constantly seem to have a problem of causing problems in our relationship with God. God has
always been consistent with what He expected from man. Adam and Eve if they had repented
might of very well stayed in the garden, but in human nature and human error they blamed
someone else for their mistake instead of taking responsibility for sin. God wants us to take
responsibility for our mistake and ask turn from our sin. Christ paid the price for our sins. He
took our punishment for sin by dying on the cross for our sins. God is not just a friend to those
who seek Him he is also Savior and Lord to those who follow Him.
