| God/Father of Those Who Fear Him. |
| Lesson Nine: by turtle God is Holy. God is worthy to be worshipped. God can supply all our needs. Philippians 4:19 KJV (19) But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. God is in control. God knows what is best for us. Reason God knows what is best is because He is Holy, He is perfect. He is true. 1 Samuel 6:20 KJV (20) And the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us? The ark had been stolen and was being return for the Lord had struck the people with tumors. They knew they could not keep such a God in their camp for they were not Holy. They were sinners. Even in Old Testament days there was a fear of the Israelite God. There is nothing wrong with a healthy fear of God. Healthy fear in the since of reverence to God. Reverence meaning to acknowledge who God is and to know He is omnipotent. Unhealthy fear would be to know he is omnipotent and be not respectful of who He is. And what I mean by this, is many people understand that God is omnipotent, but refuse to follow or show the proper respect to God. These people often will admit they have a fear of being in God's presence. If one is a Christian their fear should be one of reverence and respect. Understanding God does not like sin and has called them to be Holy/perfect. Holiness can only be achieved through the salvation thru Jesus Christ. Christ died for our imperfections, so we could stand before a Holy God. Our job is to believe and accept God's plan for salvation. The blood of Jesus cleanse us from our sins. 1 John 1:7-8 KJV (7) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (8) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Christ came to save all mankind, Jew and Gentile. God know we are not perfect people, but by saying we are perfect, we are saying God is a liar. God is Holy and perfect and does not lie. God speaks truth to our hearts. God speaks the truth even when we fail to. Revelation 3:7 KJV (7) And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; All God say is true. This is just one example of God Holiness and His perfection. Another would be God is all knowing, all wisdom, all righteousness, love, and so forth. Perfection in all areas. The number seven is God number. It is said to be the number of perfection. God's plans are holy when we think of the word holy in the since of perfection. Christ was God's perfect plan for redeeming us. It is our choice whether we accept God's plan or not. Not accepting does not make the plan less perfect, like believing does not make it perfect. But God makes His plan perfect. Adam blames God in Genesis for making man. And yet God is still perfect. Part of perfection is taking the blame for us. Christ died for us. He took our sins to the cross. The buck so to speak could no longer be passed to someone else. God took it upon Himself to fix the sin of man. Yet man still blames God everyday for things that go wrong, Never taking responsibility for their mistakes. Recognizing the choice we have to disobey and live in sin and to obey and live in God's will is our choice. Understanding God does not make mistakes, but desires us to trust in His judgment and his perfection as we walk and abide in Him. Psalms 145:17-20 KJV (17) The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. (18) The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. (19) He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. (20) The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. |
