Love Lesson 19 by turtle

John 7:25-53 KJV
25  Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?
26  But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?
27  Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.
28  Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true,
whom ye know not.
29  But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.
30  Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
31  And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?
32  The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him.
33  Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me.
34  Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come.
35  Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?
36  What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come?
37  In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38  He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39  (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
40  Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet.
41  Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?
42  Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?
43  So there was a division among the people because of him.
44  And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.
45  Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him?
46  The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.
47  Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived?
48  Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him?
49  But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed.
50  Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them,)
51  Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth?
52  They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.
53  And every man went unto his own house.

I often wonder what will convinces someone that Christ is really the Messiah. As a believer I take it on faith, but today we are living in a world that does not
believe anymore.  People in Jesus time recognizing Him but not really being sure if it is true constantly bickering who is right and who is wrong.

If Jesus is the Messiah how can this be because no one is suppose to know him. The new the scriptures of Christ but yet could not understand how they
could know Christ. Christ then makes it clear why they know him because they do not know the one that sent Him. They know not their Heavenly Father.
So often times people give credit to God for things that happen in their lives yet do not believe in who Christ is. They are ever recognizing there is a God but
yet not recognizing the Messiah. In this case it is backwards because they see the miracles they hear the teaching but they are confused.

Christ again says you He is and that the Father sent him. In their hearts the people wanted to seize Christ right then and their but could not because it was not
Christ time to die.  The Pharisees officer are sent to seize Jesus but yet they can not.

Christ words then stump them with talk of going somewhere they could not go. The Pharisees could not go to the gentiles they consider them unclean.  These
statements would cause more uproar.

More discussion the next day whether Christ be a Prophet or the Messiah. Yet the elders are quickly able to shut this discussion up for a prophet did not
come out of Galilee but out of Bethlehem. We knowing that Christ was born in Bethlehem  understand that these Pharisees spoke in ignorance to who Christ
is.  How often do we speak in ignorance of people based on where they are living assuming they are from their. If a little girl says I Have a friend in the Bronx
and she lives in a clean rule area the first reaction from the parents is can this kid be any account. How quickly we assume something that is not true. This is
exactly what the Pharisees did. They considered Christ not anything because of where he was from. Yet He is the Messiah. He was born in Bethlehem as
scriptures foretold.  He was sent from God yet they could not see it even with miracle signs. How are we are we blind to the truth of who Jesus is.

Something's in this life must be taken on faith. Jesus is one of them. We either choose to believe or we do not. We either continue to question or take Jesus
on faith. Those who are not believers tend to want to stop us from believing too.  They are much like the crowd and Pharisees of that day. Asking and
throwing up false accusations mainly out of ignorance. Are schools say we can worship any god but please don't worship Jesus. Let teach about Wicca ,
Buddhism or Islam but don't teach Jesus. I remember growing up in the seventies and eighties and wondering why our text books did not mention Israel. Yet
it taught about Africa, Europe, and other countries.  What is the world so afraid of if they won't teach Jesus.  Why were the Pharisees and others so afraid of
Christ. Why were they afraid to recognize Him as the Messiah. People desire to hear the gossip and the lies more then truth. People are afraid of truth. Yet
truth will set you free. Jesus will set you free. If you want to be fear from sin try Jesus. Jesus will not only set you free but will give you peace in your heart and
mind. You will never be thirty spiritually again.
