The Prophecy Revealed In Matthew
Lesson Fifty: by turtle

Choices are made everyday. Choices to obey God and choices to obey the world. Each choice we make is a choice we make concerning our own beliefs
and practices. Some decision are based on faith, politics, family, but most of all the heart whether it be evil or good. In Psalms Nathan the prophet has
visited David and David’s heart has cried to be purified.

Psalms 51:10 KJV
(10)  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

To have your heart clean is not something you yourself can do.

Proverbs 20:9 KJV
(9)  Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?

One the chief problems of obedience to God is that surrender of your will and not the will of what you yourself want to do. It called making right choice
like picking up a grenade when one is in war and tossing knowing you might loose an arm or a leg protecting your fellow soldiers. What cost are you willing
to pay to follow Christ. It is hard decision for many. However nothing wrong with turning for a moment and then reconsidering the cost. Everyday I type
and everyday I work to share the gospel, I also count the cost. However I am no better then anyone else with the struggle to do the will of God. Today we
speak about doing the will of Christ. And yet it is a struggle. Yet to count and refuse but to do is greater then saying you will and not doing.

Matthew 21:28-32 KJV
(28)  But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.
(29)  He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.
(30)  And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.
(31)  Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the
harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
(32)  For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had
seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

The choice is real. The outcome is plenty. Jonah choose to run, Moses refused to obey God and cost him the entrance into the promise land. Both did
serve God by choice. What choice are you making from running. It not to late to turn around. Children of disobedience never inherit the promise. Children
of obedience always receive a great reward. However reward is not always in this life time. However reward in doing God’s will and seeing His miracles
take place should be satisfying enough. To walk like Moses, Jonah, the disciples and seeing God wonders and grace should be enough. How often do we
succumb to the needs of the flesh.
