Why Miracles Happen?
Lesson Fifteen: by turtle

Mark 8:22-38 KJV
(22)  And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to
touch him.
(23)  And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had
spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
(24)  And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
(25)  After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was
restored, and saw every man clearly.
(26)  And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in
the town.
(27)  And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way
he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am?
(28)  And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elias; and others, One of the
prophets.
(29)  And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto
him, Thou art the Christ.
(30)  And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.
(31)  And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be
rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days
rise again.
(32)  And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
(33)  But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get
thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be
of men.
(34)  And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them,
Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
(35)  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake
and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
(36)  For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
(37)  Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
(38)  Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and
sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory
of his Father with the holy angels.

This story is interesting. One because healing did not take place all at once. It was gradually.
First the man gain sight a little, but he was still in the fog and then he gained full sight. Much it
is in the life a person coming to know Jesus. We might not see the whole truth about Jesus. We
might not know much about God. But as the word of God begins to penetrate the heart and
soul of man, so does the sight of how man perceives God. If you take someone that has no
knowledge of who God is and begin to share the truth with them, then something begins to
happen. It is a slow process and a slow journey. Many Christians understand the journey from
darkness to light. It is a slow process. One that takes time. It does not happen over night. We
need to pray as Christians for those that know not God. Know not the power of God. That
they may see truth. As the healing begins the eyes slowly open to truth. The power of Satan will
try and pull you in to submission. Will try and pull you down to a point of death. Guess what
you already got a part of God in you by just claiming the truth of His word.  Reading the word
of God will destroy the enemies power. Quoting the word of God will defeat the enemy.
Praying in the Name of Jesus will defeat the enemy.

After coming to understand of who God is we can then see the message of who Christ is. Who
the Messiah is. Then when we choose to take whole of belief in Jesus we then can take hold of
who the Holy Spirit is. If you are raised in the church world you are taught early on who the
Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit is. But if you know not these thing you must be taught on
a slow gradual plane. Many of the world believe in God but many do not know Christ. Many
religions recognize a creator but not the Messiah. If you look at the Holy Spirit not knowing
God it does not make sense. Yet all three are one. The man that was regaining is sight was
seeing for the first time in a long time. Then complete healing took place.

Jesus asked Peter and the disciples who he was, and they said the Messiah, and Christ said not
to tell anyone, because they would not understand. That is so true. People not knowing who
God is can not know the Son. Each part of the Trinity speaks of each other.

The way to start taking blinders off is Jesus way. Not always all at once. Just like healing is not
always all at once. God was teaching the disciples about there own spiritual growth. Showing
they did not always understand who he was and neither did the people. It was a slow process.
Be blind is not the sin. It is where each of us start in the knowledge of who God is.
