Why Miracles Happen?

Lesson 22: by turtle
(25) And it was the third hour, and they crucified him. (26) And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS. (27) And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left. (28) And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors. (29) And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, (30) Save thyself, and come down from the cross. (31) Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save. (32) Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him. (33) And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. (34) And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (35) And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias. (36) And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down. (37) And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. (38) And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom. (39) And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God. (40) There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome; (41) (Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem. (42) And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath, (43) Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus. (44) And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead. (45) And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph. (46) And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre. (47) And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.
I really debated this morning on how much scripture to post with the message that has been laid on my heart concerning the death and crucifixion of Jesus. I challenge you to read the whole chapter in its entirety and get a good image in your mind of what it must of been like for the Savior of the world to be on trial and then crucified for he was consider innocent for the crime he was accused of. Often we persecute those that are innocent. We harm those that seem to be the one causing all the problems, when in reality it is someone else. Sometimes we need to be the one blamed because we are innocent because of a lack of knowledge. Knowledge use correctly is wisdom and understanding. And knowledge use incorrectly is error. Jesus was innocent He is the only perfect man that ever lived, but He was able because He is God. So we need to remember Jesus is more then just man, but God and had the ability to do things we are not able to do. We are adopt through Christ, but we are not God.
Galatians 4:4-7 KJV (4) But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, (5) To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. (6) And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. (7) Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Next point I would like to bring out this morning, is Christ is nailed to the cross. He is not tied, he is nailed. He has been beaten, and made to carry his cross. He not only takes the beating for our sins, but he is fixing to die for all humanity. And yet people begin to mock. They begin to make fun of Him. They did just mock him when they beat him, but they continue mocking through out the course of his punishment.
A cruel mocking is what they did, but only did they do but we do too. Until we accept Christ as Lord many mock the crucifixion. I was looking on line the other day and ran across a competition that literally mocked the crucifixion. It was a shame to even be shown in a Christian point of view, but never the less it was being shown. Many mock Jesus even today. The world has nto changed. It was not just one group of people that mocked but all the world mocked.
When we mock God we can not expect Him to do what we ask. If you ask anything in Jesus name and do it mockingly beware of what will come. Disaster will come sooner or later. It might be when you meet the judgment seat of Christ. Hell bound is not the way to go, all do not need to go to hell. You do not have to make your choice to go to hell. Will what if I already mocked him is there repentance. Did you do it in ignorance are you aware of what you did was wrong. Are you sincere? If you are then there is hope. All God ask is your repent of your sin against Him.
Christ died for you and for me. He died for our sins. He died that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Yet often we find ourselves lacking in the belief category. Do not feel bad we all struggle in areas of belief. God sends a prophet to you do you believe. It depends on the type of prophet. Only way to know is to ask God. Many deceivers are good at imitating the church world. We imitate them they can imitate us.
The next step in belief is to believe that Christ rose from the grave. The first step was to believe He died for you and for me. But now to go one step further and say yes he rose on the third day. To believe and accept God's way it takes more. If you want a miracle it is going to be done God's way not man's way. Moses hit a rock to many times. God still brought forth the water, but punished Moses for disobedience. Christ coming off the cross would of been direct disobedience to His Father's will. He had to die, so we could have life. That is the miracle. We might die physically, but if we believe in Jesus we will not die spiritually. We will go on to be with the Lord in heaven. A most wonderful place to be. Streets of pure gold and many mansions.
John 14:2-3 KJV (2) In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Revelation 21:18-21 KJV (18) And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. (19) And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; (20) The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. (21) And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
Now with a glimpse of heaven. A glimpse is all one needs, we will proceed to the grave. .
Mark 16:1-12 KJV (1) And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. (2) And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. (3) And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? (4) And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. (5) And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. (6) And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. (7) But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. (8) And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid. (9) Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. (10) And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. (11) And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not. (12) After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.
The tomb was found empty. We need to understand it was not only found empty, but Christ appeared to many of the disciples. He appear to more then five hundred brethren.
1 Corinthians 15:3-8 KJV (3) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; (4) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: (5) And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: (6) After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. (7) After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. (8) And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
Yet the government of that time seen it has a threat. Yet it was not a threat to them. Christ did not want to be king of the physical Roman, but King of our hearts and souls. God wants his authority recognized. He desires to have a personal relationship with us.
Matthew 27:63-66 KJV (63) Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. (64) Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. (65) Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. (66) So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
Matthew 28:12-15 KJV (12) And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, (13) Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. (14) And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. (15) So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
The truth is rumors are told to hide the truth. And even so it still brings the wrath of God to those that spread the false rumors. All one can do is repent. All one can do is tell the truth. God judgment is worse then anything man can do. Repent, Repent and seek forgiveness for sins. Jesus is alive, alive. Tell the world Jesus is alive. And with this blessing will flow more abundantly. Nothing can change a lie, but truth can set people free. Trust Jesus today. Believe on Him Today. Jesus is Alive forever more.
