| Consequences of Sin and Forgiveness: Lesson 9: Justification For The Need of A Savior 1/07/2014 by turtle Romans 5:1-21 KJV (1) Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (2) By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (3) And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; (4) And patience, experience; and experience, hope: (5) And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (6) For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. (7) For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. (8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (9) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (10) For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (11) And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. (12) Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (13) (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. (14) Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. (15) But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. (16) And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. (17) For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) (18) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. (19) For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. (20) Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: (21) That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Most other religions that have faith see no need for Savior. No need for an intercessor. Yet what fails is those is a need for justification. Now if you are standing before God in heaven and you expecting your sins to be weigh vs. your good works, then you relying on your own work to get you into heaven. The story of Babel is clear that your own work will not get you into heaven. In fact to think about it most assume that when one dies they will stand before the judgment seat of God. However one is unworthy to even begin to stand before the presents of the living God. Yet He never denied his children his presents. There is time God is quiet, God turns away from the sin in our life to allow judgment to come, but He never denied not being ever present in our life. Everlasting torment is a place without God. God’s presents on earth and below as well as in His home above, is ever real. Yet there are times in our life God presents seems absent, and it our own doing, because of sin, for unbelief, for unrepentance, yet it does not make God’s presents less there. Where can one go to hide from God. There is no place He can not see. Yet sin leaves a gulf between man and God. A gulf that only can be bridged by the love of God by sending his Son to die in our place. No Abraham was justified by faith, and appeared in the transfiguration. So justification came long ago by faith. Faith being believing in God. However there still needed to be a payment for sin. A payment to justify the first man sin that caused all mankind to be servants of sin. We needed to make justification for sin. Justification for sin is not trying to say why you sin and by doing so making it okay. It is the act of making up for the act of sin. The act of rectifying the offense of sin. If I break your GI Joe, you know I must fix it in someway or buy another one. When I sin against God then I need to justify or make payment for my sin so that is called sacrifice. Giving up something of value to me to God. Yet what does God need, that I can give. I can give my life to service to Him, but that still will not take away the sin in my life. Will not take away the offense of sin. One man caused the sin of the world his name was Adam. One man’ s death redeemed us his name was Jesus, the only begotten Son of God full of grace and truth. The only one sent so man might have life. He paid the price for the offense that caused many offenses against God. The offense and all other offense paid by one man’s death, a man that was perfect, a man that was holy, a man that was and is the living word of God. God had to give up His word of condemnation if we believed in His Word and in Him. One had to believe in God in order to believe God loved us enough redeem us by breaking His Word for us to justify us. Adam and Eve believed God after they received punishment for their transgression, or one would think so. Much like Cain had to learn that sin brought punishment, separation from God. God talked to Cain, but his transgression of killing brought separation. So it is that to repay God was impossible because all sin and fall short of the glory of God. Yet through one man’s life who name is Jesus we are redeemed. Our sin is buried with the word of God and division is now bridge through Christ Jesus resurrection. When we believe in Jesus our sins are forgiven, based on the point that first offense was caused by the first man Adam and not bridged through the God’s Son. Abraham and Moses need to physical proof of this bridge, our generation need understanding of the hope of salvation for our sins and understanding of the purpose of the bridge that has no barriers upon belief in God’s Word the Son of God Jesus. Jesus is like a metaphor or demonstration of God’s love. So when we look to Jesus and believe in the work He did on the cross for our sins, we are redeemed if we confess our sins. God is clear He is the only one that can save us, and He demonstrated that hope He gives to all mankind through Jesus, so many believe in the Word of God but few understand that His Word came in the flesh. This is important, because we need to know God loved us enough to send not only sacrifice for sin, but example of how we ought to live. Willingness to lay down our life so others might be saved. Saved with the knowledge of the hope of God eternal Word, the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Knowing the price God paid to redeem us, is His Son. Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the hope you give us through your Son, you never desired to be separated from your creation, but you need to make it clear there was a price for disobedience. In Jesus precious name, Amen. http://www.turtle30cshell.com _ |
