Luke 1:68-79 KJV
(68)  Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and
redeemed his people,
(69)  And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house
of his servant David;
(70)  As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have
been since the world began:
(71)  That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the
hand of all that hate us;
(72)  To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to
remember his holy covenant;
(73)  The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
(74)  That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of
the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
(75)  In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of
our life.
(76)  And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest:
for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his
ways;
(77)  To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the
remission of their sins,
(78)  Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the
dayspring from on high hath visited us,
(79)  To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow
of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

God promise of salvation came perhaps earliest easily seen in
the story of Noah. Not so clear in the story of Adam and Eve,
because of their sin, yet Satan would have a continue battle with
Adam and Eve. Yet she would be blessed by bearing offspring.
She would be set free through Christ, but Noah rescue is seen
through obedience that when God sent destruction, Noah family
was physically rescued. Abraham the promise of salvation to
come spiritually is made clear. Made so clear and vivid that
Abraham was given hope of a promise land beyond the earthly
home. A hope and promise given by God, that only God could
give salvation through belief, salvation through God’s Son the
Word of God. The Word God bring peace to all mankind. We
see God’s Word in the Bible and people say how can that save
you among unbelievers, because unbelievers are mentioned in
scripture too. There laws are written down too. Their heritage is
among the Jewish people as far as Abraham. As nations spread
out people were loss track of, no way to record everything. Yet
God record is given of those who follow the ways of God and
His commands vs. those who chose not too. Yes I am looking at
this side of the cross. The scripture given is inspired by God.
Yet there more then just records of people, it how to be saved
eternally through belief in Christ the Word of God. Belief that
Savior came and died taking away the sins of the world that all
might be saved. Yet a condition still was established that one
must believe. Who child we were would be determine by what
we did, but would not determine our salvation.

God message was to bring peace not war, not hate, but peace
to the world. Jesus was to come as peace, to break down the
wall that divide God from mankind. The Holy Spirit would come
to the Gentiles, would come to a people not generally blessed
this way, but always had the ability through faith and being
grafted into Israel. What changed is the legalism of the law of
God of sacrifice of a goat or ram, for sin. The sacrifice done
away with for Jesus would pay the ultimate price for sin. A price
no one else could pay spiritual for another. Jesus was perfect
because He was God’s Only Begotten Son full of grace and
truth. Perfect without flaw to undo the separation caused by
Adam and Eve.

Seldom do we think of God perfection or His holiness. God
created to be like him, but not Him, in the since of perfection.
Meaning we would have flaws. God ability to create perfection
was always there. He did so through His Son, who would pay
the price for our imperfection. It took man to learn of their
imperfection, to gain knowledge of their inability to be perfect,
yet we are called to be perfect to walk in peace. None of us do
it will. God gave the gift of His Spirit to remind us all to follow
Him in love and peace. Yet none listen. We all have gone astray
from the shepherd of our soul. Yet we must come to realize God’
s grace in our infirmities and weakness plus His ability to
forgive. God just ask us to admit we are wrong. God’s promise
covenant of redemption came with Christ birth, death and
resurrection.

Dear Heavenly Father help us to walk in peace and love as you
instruct, teaching others the way Christ taught us. Help us to
love the way you love us. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
