| Lesson 73: The Law Of The Old That Is Covered In The New: Thou Shalt Not Steal 4/7/2014 by turtle30c Exodus 20:15 KJV (15) Thou shalt not steal. A standard law in most society would be not to steal. To steal is theft and a theft is a crime against the person you stole from as well as to society. It is a breakdown of society. Why take something, if you can ask for it and it be given to you. It like the quarter candy stolen at the drugstore counter by some children if unguarded. The point is the candy maybe only worth a quarter but if everyone took a piece of candy and that was all the store sold, the store would go broke. A quarter does not seem like much to take but it is theft. If one steals an art painting one will go to jail. However the thief that started as a child stealing candy, only learned the value of a painting and how to resell on the underground/black market, found a career that if caught will land him in jail. People steal off the internet all the time. No one thinks about the amount of internet theft that goes on. A easy tool to clip pictures or articles and paste where ever you want, only to fall short to discover you can no longer remember where you got them from. It is a downfall of internet trafficking. Yet everyone wants what they see and say it only for my use, and yet later uses it for someone forgetting where it came from. To like the sediment and not give credit where credit is due. One thing you can not steal is the work of God. You might be able to use God to make a living, being a wolf in sheep clothing, but you will never be able to lay claim to what God does and stand before the Judge, without falling to your knees in hopes of not being condemned. A thief will be caught if by no one other then God. Dear Heavenly Father help us to remember the value of what others have and not take without permission. In Jesus precious name, Amen. http://www.turtle30cshell.com _ |
