(2) But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. (3) To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. (4) And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. (5) And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. (6) This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. (7) Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. (8) All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. (9) I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. (10) The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (11) I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. (12) But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. (13) The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. (14) I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. (15) As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. (16) And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. (17) Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. (18) No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. Have you ever had a rat in your house, not a mouse, but a giant rat? One thing they not picky what they tear up. They taste of everything to see if it is good. They chew through things that are bad for them as well as harmful to them. They make holes in walls that can be seen. They come in any place they feel they can gnaw their way through, just to be gnawing. They do not care if you put installation in last week they will come and gnaw your wall. They are more sinister then the average thief that just jumps the fence taking what they please. A fence is only made to keep honest man out, does not keep rat out of house. It does not keep someone entering in illegally, by illegal methods. Anyone can look into a sheepfold, only a thief climbs a fence. No one sees the rat but only hears it. Wolf once spot scatters the sheep. Yet if the Wolf is a devil he is sneaky like rat entering in, so no one see him coming, only hearing the gnawing of his teeth as he takes a bite of the structure of the home. The Holy Spirit is the house of a believer. He goes with you everywhere. Christ knocked at the door of your heart and you invited Him in. Did you ask the Holy Spirit to fill you, if so you invited Him in. Yet a demon enters he not asking permission he going to take what not his through temptation, through deception, through soft words with no hope, and anyway he thinks will attract you, it is a game to him. Yet it is mucking up your life. A thief steals, but the good shepherd comes and is willing to lay down his life for the sheep. To save them and teach them the way. Why lay your life down between thieves and be counted among them. To save the innocent. If God is the good shepherd, if Christ is the good shepherd, then why die as a thief? Israel leaders heard Christ in the streets and even in the temple. He even talked to roman soldiers. Yet leaders of Israel rejected Him as a leader, as Lord, for they loved the praises of men and wealth. They had gotten complacent in their life style and wanted no more war and destruction. It was big deal I am under Roman rule, I have freedom. Yet their children were taken as wives and intermarriage. Not caring, the harm it was doing to a people of purity of the soul. Israel seen no difference in what their own kings had done and the ways of those different then them. They had become a harlot of the legal law, out of fear, because goliath looked to tall. Had they forgotten David sling shot only one hit killed that giant. When the church defeats the enemy in the final battle cry, it will be teaching in the streets, between the building publicly. In dangerous territories, but will it be laying their life down as Jesus laid His life down for you and me?? It says it will be teaching in the valley of death. Has the antichrist gotten more cunning in last days, not in the least, just his outfit is more disguisable. As our times change our own clothes change with the era we are in, so why would it surprise you if the devil is not wearing a similar outfit with new flashy buttons or glitter. History will only repeat itself tell the coming of the Son of God in the sky. Is Satan wearing glitter trying to go through the door and is having to gnaw in through temptation. The Holy Spirit equips his Saints with the New armour of God, called the New Covenant of Jesus Christ, that whosoever belief would have eternal life, not realize if you love God you going to obey Him too. We are sealed with the promise Holy Spirit, We are marked as a child of God by faith, and given the power to overcome sin by the power of the Holy Spirit. Dear Heavenly Father help us to set that trap for the devil that loves gnawing on us, that they will see Christ and be changed into a sheep.
