Can You Reach God
Lesson Four: by turtle

God never changes. Often we find ourselves needing something new and something different. We find
ourselves wishing for spring and find only more snow falling outside, or heavily turning to ice. Yet God
never changes. God creation changes. God created it this way.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
(1)  To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

He created the season to change as well as giving us our own choice and freedom. Our choices we
make are not always what we should make. Romans 1 gives us a in look at this with our theme “Can
We Reach God.”

Romans 1:20-23 KJV
(20)  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood
by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
(21)  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but
became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
(22)  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
(23)  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and
to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

God through nature and through His creation demonstrated His power and who He was. Yet people
still went after those things that could be destroyed. If you are a crafter of any kind you know how
great it is to create something. Even if you are not a craft, but love to cook, you love the ability to
create and mold something tasty. Most people like inventing in some form or the other. It might not be
with clay, cooking, thread, wood or paint, but people like to use their imagination. Our imagination will
and can take us away from God. Our own evil thoughts take us away from God.

Ecclesiastes 7:29 KJV
(29)  Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many
inventions.

Yet God created man to be able to create after all we are created in His likeness. God created
everything from the beginning. Creating things in His time table and which is a mystery to man.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 KJV
(11)  He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no
man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

Man uses all forms of science to study God’s creation, yet never giving God credit. Yet man still seeks
to learn how things are put together so they can imitate God. God never changes and man seems to
always change in their opinion and thoughts on how God created.

Hebrews 1:10-11 KJV
(10)  And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the
works of thine hands:
(11)  They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;

Though God created He did not make some thing that would not last and some things that would last.
God remains even the same even with this earth passes away.

Matthew 24:35 KJV
(35)  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Heaven and earth will pass away but God’s word still will be true. However those things that God
makes to last is His kingdom.

Psalms 45:6 KJV
(6)  Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

God’s kingdom is forever. However many have been deceived by their own idea of what this kingdom
looks like. First of all some thought that Christ would establish the physical kingdom on earth before
His death and resurrection.

Luke 17:20-21 KJV
(20)  And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he
answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
(21)  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Luke 19:11 KJV
(11)  And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem,
and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.

There is several things one needs to understand in order for Christ victory to be complete is that death
must be destroyed. This will not take place until the final judgment. Christ first came to save us from
our sin. His death and resurrection did this for all that will believe. However this is on a spiritual note
and will one day be physical as well. It is hard for our mortal minds to perceive this.

1 Corinthians 15:24-28 KJV
(24)  Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father;
when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
(25)  For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
(26)  The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
(27)  For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is
manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
(28)  And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto
him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Revelation 20:14 KJV
(14)  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

God seems to do things in stages in our life. First He created us. Then He showed us His ability to
destroy us with the flood when our hearts are evil, then he confounds our language when we try and
make ourselves into a god at the tower of Babel. Then God shows us a need for an intercessor in Job
life. Then He shows us what sin is by giving us the law. Then He shows us something even more that
He loves us and will provide intercessor to go between us and Him. This intercessor name is Jesus.
The Son of God. Who is the word of God that became flesh, yet is the Son of God who has authority
and is called God by God. Yet first He must have victory over death. The victory is already His, It
already was establish by who Jesus is. Yet we see something even more when we see it proclaimed at
the grave. His veil, His shroud that covered Christ body is folded up. He has no need of it. The veil
was ripped.

Hebrews 1:12 KJV
(12)  And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and
thy years shall not fail.

God never desired to be separated from us, yet we desired it. Why because of our fear of God.

Exodus 20:18-19 KJV
(18)  And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the
mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
(19)  And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us,
lest we die.

God provided a go between to Himself. He establish Moses as a priest. The first priest was
Melchisedec.

Hebrews 5:5-6 KJV
(5)  So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art
my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
(6)  As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Now this is a bit confusing so I am going to tell you like this. However one has to realize that Jesus is
the first and the last. Meaning He comes before and He comes after.

Revelation 1:8 KJV
(8)  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was,
and which is to come, the Almighty.

Jesus is before Melchisedec but He also comes after. This vesture in Hebrews 1:11 that is folded up
does away with separation between us and God. Christ did not stay in the grave, He is alive. However
He is our intercessor as well to God the Father. We got God the Father and God the Son. Sitting on the
throne with a veil, before Christ is born.

Psalms 2:7 KJV
(7)  I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten
thee.
Psalms 110:1 KJV
(1)  A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine
enemies thy footstool.

Mark 12:35-37 KJV
(35)  And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is
the Son of David?
(36)  For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right
hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
(37)  David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common
people heard him gladly.

Matthew 22:42-45 KJV
(42)  Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.
(43)  He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
(44)  The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
(45)  If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

Christ is the beginning and the end. Yet He is the word of God and is the Son of God. When we
choose not to believe in Jesus we put a veil between us and the Godhead. We cause the separation and
not God. When we call out to Him, He hears our cries God has done all the work for us already to
break down the walls we have with Him. He knows we are not perfect, he knows we are evil at heart
and sin. Yet He still loves us. Do you love Him back if so reach up to Him.
