Can You Reach God
Lesson Seven: by turtle

God’s love for us human is vast. It hard to imagine God’s patience and love even when witness among
people, for God love is greater still. First all He sent His only Son as simple man. He created all things
through the word and the word then became flesh and was His Son Jesus. It is often hard to go from
point A to point B when explain who Christ is and His full humanity and yet He still being God the Son
in the flesh the second person of the Trinity. It is much easier to recognize Christ humanity. With this
said I would like today to start with a passage in Timothy.

1 Timothy 2:5-6 KJV
(5)  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
(6)  Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

I do not know if one can talk about Christ humanity without talking about Him being God the Son, but
we are going to be looking at the humanity of Christ which does nto take away from the deity of
Christ. Christ came to be a mediator for our sins. He came in human likeness as a man. Man perfect in
form.

1 Corinthians 15:47-49 KJV
(47)  The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
(48)  As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that
are heavenly.
(49)  And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

We are made in the image of God. Formed in the image and likeness of God.

Genesis 1:26-27 KJV
(26)  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion
over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and
over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
(27)  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female
created he them.

Formed in image of God from the beginning, yet we are not God. Only Christ was in pure form in the
image of God. Meaning from His conception in His Mother womb He was God in the flesh and would
be called God’s Son. Christ bore both flesh and also the heavenly nature. We only bear the earthly
nature of man, unless we are born again. Being born again we are not God but our adopted or grafted
into the family of God. We are graft in through faith. This my friend is God way of reaching down to
us in faith.

Galatians 3:26 KJV
(26)  For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 2:10-12 KJV
(10)  For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons
unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
(11)  For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not
ashamed to call them brethren,
(12)  Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise
unto thee.

Through Christ suffering all men can be sons of God. Christ is captain of our souls to all that believe.
He leads us free from death and hell. He calls us brethrens. Yet it is through adoption through belief.

.
Galatians 4:3-7 KJV
(3)  Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
(4)  But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made
under the law,
(5)  To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
(6)  And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba,
Father.
(7)  Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Though we be called sons, we are not equal to Christ. We do not become God or have this status.
Though we will rule with God and His Son we are not on the throne but around the throne. The elders
sitting in their seats and the saints around the throne. Our position clear in Christ, yet even He became
a servant for our benefit. To serve Christ is not slavery. It is a choice. To serve Christ because He
served us first. Christ showed us His servant hood by washing of the disciples feet and going to the
cross for our sins.. No task was menial for our Creator. Yet Christ took his seat on the Throne and His
position was given as above all. Without Christ sacrifice we could not be sanctified. We were dirty
because of sin. Sanctification is a process of purifying us. This is instance upon belief, but it is also a
work in progress. The minute we believe we become children of God. Joint heirs with Jesus. Yet our
inheritance is a home in heaven as well as to reign with Him as priest and kings in the new heaven and
new earth. We are set free from a yoke of bondage called sin.

Hebrews 2:12-15 KJV
(12)  Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise
unto thee.
(13)  And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given
me.
(14)  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took
part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
(15)  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

When Christ sanctifies us through belief we are no longer under bondage to devil or death. We will not
be cast into hell.

John 8:33-36 KJV
(33)  They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest
thou, Ye shall be made free?
(34)  Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of
sin.
(35)  And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
(36)  If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Romans 6:18-23 KJV
(18)  Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
(19)  I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded
your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members
servants to righteousness unto holiness.
(20)  For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
(21)  What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things
is death.
(22)  But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto
holiness, and the end everlasting life.
(23)  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 8:1-5 KJV
(1)  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the
flesh, but after the Spirit.
(2)  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
(3)  For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in
the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
(4)  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after
the Spirit.
(5)  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the
things of the Spirit.

When we believe in Christ we are set free from sin. Sin for a long time held man in bondage, yet when
Christ died He paid the price for our sin. Making us free of sin. Reuniting us to God. These last verses
are a repletion of what we already discussed here. Christ coming as simple man, not as king or religious
ruler, but simple man. He calls us brethren because He became like us. Walked with us talked with us,
work along with us. He work as a carpenter. He knew what work was. Christ knew what it was like to
be human. He face and dealt with temptation. Of course Christ had the power to overcome temptation,
and we too have that power to over temptation for Christ has set us free from sin.

Hebrews 2:16-18 KJV
(16)  For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
(17)  Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a
merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the
people.
(18)  For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

Christ humanity, seen as one of us, helps us understand that God loves us. He loved us enough to
come to us in away we could understand. He loved us enough to die for us and rose again declaring
victory over death. Death had separated us from God because of sin, yet no longer does it. Christ
becoming our high priest. Priest would make atonement for sin back in the Old testament. We will be
getting into that. There are many title to Christ the Son of God, yet to see His humanity is a gift to us.
To see Him like us when He had a throne and a place where no sorrow is. He came to us and met us
more then half way. All He ask is us to believe in Him. It is your choice today.
