John 3:9-13 KJV
(9)  Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these
things be?
(10)  Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of
Israel, and knowest not these things?
(11)  Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know,
and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
(12)  If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how
shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
(13)  And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came
down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

There is much news in the world but no one knows but those that
reported and witnessed if the news is accurate or not. Though
most news agencies that are legit swear to the trustworthiness it
has to be proven and the more stories they tell with truth the
easier the lies can be put in from time to time, with no one being
any wiser but those that witness an event. It is the lies that harm
the soul especially when it comes to faith and belief.

The word verily means in the Greek trustworthy or truth. Truth is
defined by much more then someone just saying verily, verily.
Jesus was speaking a language that Nicodemus should of
understood for he was a teach and an Israelite by birth. Yet it
seems as if Nicodemus was searching or maybe a little complex
by what Jesus spoke to Him. Jesus told him He must be born
again to enter the kingdom of heaven. One had to have spiritual
faith and walk in it to be born of the Spirit of God. A devil can not
be born of the spirit of God. Why because he might believe in
God but his fruits are not of God.

Jesus begins in the passage above to speak about being
testifying and not receiving the witness of both God and himself.
That is who the we is in verse 11. Fact is most people have a
natural curiosity to seek truth. However if you can not believe
what you all ready know about things common to man how can
you believe about spiritual things. Jesus had spoke about normal
birth being of water. Meaning when that water breaks a baby is
coming out is the normal process of natural birth. Nicodemus as a
teacher, priest, would be the one that be at the burial of Jesus
recorded in Luke. Nicodemus seeing both probably life and death,
more then just scribe, he would of possessed no doubt some
medical knowledge just on the little information we know about
him. Yet he was a teacher of the law.

Jesus is only stating spiritual law as well as natural law of birth
and yet Nicodemus in his heart was not receiving any truth from
Jesus of the spiritual kind, much less physical kind knowing of
earthly things. It was not enough proof even with research. Why
not believe someone about spiritual things, one they either do not
tell the truth about things that are real, or what they say is in
contradiction of your own beliefs. One can not receive truth of
any kind unless their doctrine is not the same or there is not
evidence of it they can physically see.

Go into any church that not traditional to your up bringing and
there is going to be new words used. It makes those people not
saved, but their language might be different. Yet showing
someone scripture usually takes care of any miss understanding
unless it is a tradition of a church and not scriptural.

Jesus spoke the language of the Gentiles as well as Pharisees
language. He spoke a language of Egyptians no doubt as well.
Why not because He was the Son of God though this helped, He
spoke languages of the people because of where he grew up.
Galilee was a gentile region. He knew how to speak to common
folks as well as the Pharisees.

Yet no doubt when Jesus spoke to Nicodemus in his language of
spiritual things he could not understand or receive the truth of
Jesus words. Had Jesus words mystified him. Probably so. The
truth of the matter Nicodemus no doubt heard Jesus speaking to
common folks as well as Pharisees and Sadducees of the
temple. No doubt all Jesus said peeked his interest.

Jesus still spoke on of spiritual truth to Nicodemus about why He
was there. Maybe just maybe this was the beginning of the seed
planted in Nicodemus life to his final conversion. Yet it never says
when Nicodemus converted but we know he did. What do you
base your truth on. If I speak truth about baseball and you
understand it, you then one will understand football, no not
necessarily, because the language of two games are slightly
different. So it is Jesus is speaking to Nicodemus if you do not
believe the law of God you not going to believe my testimony
either.

Do you receive what Christ spoke about testimonies and a being
a witness for God or are you in the dark? Are you confused
about spiritual matters and not relying on the scripture for
understanding? God is truth, and Christ is truth.

Dear Heavenly Father we know Jesus spoke truth of both
spiritual and earthly things. Yet often we need an interpreter for
both these things if we do not understand the day and time of
Jesus. Give us always the spiritual understanding of both day and
time Jesus spoke as well as the spiritual truth that leads us to
salvation in you by faith. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
