Why Is Healing A Process

Mark 8:22-26 KJV
(22)  And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto
him, and besought him to touch him.
(23)  And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the
town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon
him, he asked him if he saw ought.
(24)  And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
(25)  After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made
him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
(26)  And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into
the town, nor tell it to any in the town.

I have heard ministers tell people not to come to the altar for
repetitive health problems. I am type of person I will continue to
pray over an issue, but I understand also one has to get serious
with God on a problem. And not only get serious, but be willing to
sometimes go to the altar more then once when things are not so
clear. Some minister refuse to take no for answer or this is not
God’s timing. It hard to take no, or not right now for answer, but it
does not mean you can not continue to pray on an issue. Many
women in the Bible that could not conceive continued in prayer until
it happened. Child birth so important to a woman that to be
childless was a disgrace in her society. In some ways this is still
true today in some circles. Yet God mercy was great on those
who continually sought Him concerning different healings, including
child birth.

When a child is born we see a cute tiny baby full of life that
hopefully will mature into old age. We never know what will happen
to a baby, yet has it grows up, he/she develops talents that
hopefully will lead to a life chosen career and in the perfect will of
God. Yet the picture the parents have is only a piece upon birth,
and for the child only smaller images of what might be. Yet when
the picture is complete the child in adult years can look back and
see the work of God in their life. This is process.

Jesus healed a blind man in two stages in the above passage. I
look and wonder why not all at once. Yet the man had to have the
hope to be able to receive full healing. It not written that way, but
one can imagine, being lead outside the city only to have spit
placed on the eyes and wonder if when Jesus said what do you
see, and he opened his eyes and looked, he was not a little
amazed. After all he had heard others saying they had been
healed, and yet he had no sight to know for certain for himself. For
he could not see the problems of others. Yet he knew he could not
see and now could see men that looked like trees. Jesus touched
him again and he was able to see fully.

All last month and even back in January and this month we been
talking about the law of God. God’s word is consistent, though
many do not understand the consistency of God is meet with
certain conditions. If you study the Bible long enough you see and
understand there different results for similar situations and might
even wonder why. Healing of this man took two touch of healing. It
was not a lack of power of Christ but testimony that not all things
happen all at once. Not every cold that is prayed for is healed the
same day. Nor is every storm in life have a cease in thundered
instantaneously, but it does cease. Yet a common cold and a
storm generally passes. Yet blindness, diabetes, deafness and
more are illness that do not go away generally over night. Jesus
healed in every case mentioned in the New Testament it was
instantaneous but this one.

Healing from sin takes time sometimes, if one desires to obey God
it is often time a process and a willingness to surrender one’s life
to Christ. Some things in a person’s life leaving immediately and
other things it is a genuine process of surrender. Yet all covered
by the grace and mercy of Jesus. Healing of this blind man he got
the necessary boost of faith to believe for the rest of the healing.
Jesus never left anyone half healed for very long, He desires to
make us whole not partially healed from sin, not partially healed
from disease. He desires to make us whole, but sometimes it
takes steps of faith to receive the full healing. Steps of faith to see
the whole results. So if you have a medical issue unless God
speaks that His grace is sufficient to your heart do not give up.
After all in heaven you will be fully restore but hopefully what you
need in life will occur before heaven. Do not take a no lying down,
but seek God face especially for those things that concern you.
Even if a minister will not pray for you, you go directly to God. You
go directly to God the first time. Because where is your faith
exercised by the minister praying over you perhaps, but it needs to
start with your own prayer of faith, then asking and calling on the
elders.

God mercy was and is always extended to the man of faith verse
the man without faith. It is one law of God that never changes. Yet
God’s mercy is on the man that repents with only the faith of a
mustard seed. It takes only a little faith to see men like trees, it
takes a lot of faith to see a clear image. Where is your faith today,
are you seep in sin, seep in knowledge of God’s law in the Old
Testament understanding base of faith, but not recognizing God
has a salvation plan through Jesus for you. Turn from sin and
follow after Jesus. Faith is built upon percept by percept.

Dear Heavenly Father full of grace and truth, help us not to give up
praying over things that tempt us, or need of healing in our life,
knowing things are not always immediately in our learning process.
In Jesus precious name, Amen.
