Women in the Bible
Lesson Seven: by turtle

The other day when I was listening to a minister I loved the comment that was made. The
minister went about saying, they did not agree with women in the pulpit either, but agree that
she wanted to see Holy Spirit filled people. A few weeks back I made the comment that the
church was made up of men and women. I am talking about the spiritual body. That the church
is called the bride of Christ. And that we all are called to minister. Yet even so we are often
bound by traditions in society of how we can minister. I am more concerned with what ministers
preach today. Are they using the Bible? Are they teaching from a historical perspective, What is
the ministers lifestyle? I be honest not any of us measure up to how we should be. We all are
working on things in our life. My favorite passage is one found in Ephesians 4

Ephesians 4:13-18 KJV
(13)  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a
perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
(14)  That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every
wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to
deceive;
(15)  But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even
Christ:
(16)  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint
supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of
the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
(17)  This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles
walk, in the vanity of their mind,
(18)  Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the
ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

Ministers are just as acceptable to every new wind of doctrine that comes along it is not funny.
The devil getting smarter and God is strength and power is the same yesterday today and
forever. He can defeat the Old devil and his cunning ways, but are we prepared to fight. I think
I preach til I am blue in the face to get in the Word. See so many pick up the latest fad and
never research what the author says. They assume that a person with a masters or doctorate that
writes a book knows what he is talking about. In a lot of cases they do, but in some they are
just people who got there degree out of the oldest catalog.

God's word warns us against false doctrines. Where one might ask. Well let me share one of my
favorite passages again.

Titus 3:9-11 KJV
(9)  But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law;
for they are unprofitable and vain.
(10)  A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
(11)  Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

Hebrews 13:9 KJV
(9)  Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart
be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been
occupied therein.

1 Timothy 4:1-4 KJV
(1)  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith,
giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
(2)  Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
(3)  Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to
be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
(4)  For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with
thanksgiving:

God warns not to follow after everything we hear. It is like following the latest gossip. Gossip is
a sin but we all do it. It is when we allow the gossip to out weigh what we know for a fact. It is
like reading a bill board or a sign that says something and then the next day changes. We need
to be careful and check our sources and our teachers. I rather be tested and tried and found
needing improvement then never questioned. That is the problem some ministers do not like
questions and others love them. See we all are learning including ministers. So why not ask if we
do not agree. If we ask and the person avoids the question then question again. Stay in the
Word of God and stay in tuned to truth and do not be deceived.
