Are You Standing In Hot Coals?
Lesson Twenty-five: by turtle

Revelation 3:14-22 KJV
(14)  And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the
beginning of the creation of God;
(15)  I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
(16)  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
(17)  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art
wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
(18)  I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be
clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
(19)  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
(20)  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup
with him, and he with me.
(21)  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my
Father in his throne.
(22)  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

One of the chief concerns of churches and church leaders is the lack of dedication in churches today, as well as the lack of
people willing to share the gospel of Jesus and to live according to the Spirit of God. There has been a lack of dedication in the
church world ever since I can remember. I can remember teaching children and wanting and extra set of hands to help with
learning projects in class. However you do not just want anyone teaching or anyone speaking or helping in these situations. One
needs people dedicated to God. Not people that are lukewarm that are neither hot nor cold. Some might even call these pew
sitters. And yes every church needs their pews filled, but they need people willing to go and do. People who heart is to serve
God and to follow His teachings.

The church of Laodocia seems to lack in this area. Not only lack on being hot and cold but felt their own money could buy
whatever they needed. A church with money can do a lot of work for the Lord, but it can also become a stink pot, if it cares
nothing for those who they minister to. If they become so high minded that they can not help their fellow people or those
hurting in the world. God desires the church to go to the hurting and down cast. Jesus went to these people and He loved them.

There is a reason I started here with seven churches, because first one has to speak to the church world before they can speak
to the heathens. If you can not praise God in the mist of other believers, you sure will not be able to on the outside of church,
that why many are consider lukewarm. They attend church, but never go beyond their front doors of the church to share Christ.

Those that overcome these obstacles will sit on the throne with God. I wonder how big is God throne if we are granted to be
able to sit with Him or how many insincere hearts think they are saved and are not? It only takes belief to be saved, however
works is a demonstration of who we follow, yet it is not always a true sign.

James 2:17-20 KJV
(17)  Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
(18)  Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my
faith by my works.
(19)  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
(20)  But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Satan tries to attack the church by using money and works to demonstrate Christian behaviors and once in can deceive and
teach what they believe. Destroying the church from the inside out.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 KJV
(13)  For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
(14)  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
(15)  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be
according to their works.

How are you going to know a good minister from a bad minister. You have to trust God. One is going to have to walk by the
Spirit of God.

Romans 8:4-6 KJV
(4)  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
(5)  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
(6)  For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

We are to share Christ with others but we need first to take care of our own soul first. Almost anyone can follow a Sunday
school book and teach, but you want those dedicated to teach to God. One must decide are you going to follow God if not then
one is following the devil. Do not try and balance God and Satan in your life. Either God all the way or it is not.

There is so much I could say here, but I have not felt lead to share it this morning. And because of this. I hope and pray that
the shortness of the message is heard and not my words. Study these scriptures and ask yourself who are you serving.
