Exodus 20:13 KJV
(13)  Thou shalt not kill.

The third sin committed that is mentioned in the Bible is thou
shalt not kill. Cain in chapter 4 of Genesis, premeditated about
killing his brother and God warned him not to sin. Yet Cain killed
Abel anyway out of jealousy. The first sin Cain committed had
to do with the wrong type of sacrifice. His jealousy over his
brother who pleased God caused his anger to be so great that
he desire Abel gone from Him and he killed him. And God curse
Cain to a life without God. Yet Moses killed Egyptian and
became a leader to the Hebrews after being away from them
for some time. Why did God not give Moses the same
punishment as He did Cain. I think it has to do with Cain first sin
of the wrong type of sacrifice to God and Cain jealousy. Moses
killed because the Egyptian was beating a Hebrew slave.
Soldiers in battle fighting to protect is different then out right
murder for other crimes. Yet government still judges killing as a
crime punishable by law no matter the reason. God took two
reason has being different and thus point Moses in charge of
protecting His sheep.

Then God gave the law of thou shalt not kill and then Moses
order the killing of those that wanted to continue to worship the
golden calf. God allowed the murder of these people, because
of the worship of idol. To some it might not seem fair. But God
will not play second fiddle to the devil. The reason why because
He made the universe, devil did not but like to claim he did.

The choice is clear God said not to kill and that what we should
not do. There is no reason to murder, yet some crime of murder
is allowed in special cases, after all it is God places to decide
who lives and who dies. God knows the eternity of every man’s
soul. God does understand the desire in our hearts to defend
our love ones as well as our people. Yet murder is breaking the
law of God.

Dear Heavenly Father may you mercy be on our soldiers that
defend our country as well as those that desire to protect their
families and friends. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
