John 1:45-51 KJV
(45)  Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have
found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did
write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
(46)  And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing
come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
(47)  Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him,
Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
(48)  Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me?
Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called
thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
(49)  Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art
the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
(50)  Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto
thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt
see greater things than these.
(51)  And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God
ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

Nathanael a true Israelite, a man passionate about the
country of Israel as well as God fearing. There are two
types of Israelites and one could be both or just one. One
that fought for or stood for the Israel governmentally and one
who stood for God. Nathanael known as a Zealot or a rebel
against the Roman taxation on Israel, would walk as a
disciple of Jesus among two tax collectors. One has to
wonder how well did he get along with others. Yet he is
seldom mentions in the gospel and when so often mention as
Simon of Cananean. Speaking of him being a true country
men of Mosaic law. Yet even so upon meeting Jesus and
Jesus speaking his inward thoughts knew he was the Son of
God.

The thing that is interesting is Jesus says he would see
heaven open and the angels of God Ascending and
descending upon the Son of man. He would witness ministers
being called and ministers preaching that the kingdom of
heaven was at hand. A man being turned from legal call of
Israel to the true spiritual law of Israel. Sometimes that
occurs when reading scripture over and over with time is the
true understanding of that spiritual law.

Jacob called by vision of Lord first to denote holy place and
the presents of God was made cleared, as the angels
ascend and descend from heavens gate. Nathanael was
going to see the true holiness of God and those coming and
going in faith. The first spiritual truth is God ability to speak
to man to call him without the go between of man. Calling
man first to that personal relationship with Him and then to
the prophetic call of faith to share the good news of faith with
others. One is called upon to be ambassador of the kingdom
of heaven when one is saved, yet we can not speak to the
heart of man, God’s Spirit must speak to the heart. We are
just a testimony to the unbeliever of the truth of the Gospel.

Dear Heavenly Father may your grace abound in the life of
all that believe, knowing you have called them by your Spirit
through Christ Jesus and not only called but a call to share
the message of the kingdom. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
