| Lesson 6: The Law Of The Old That Is Covered In the New Testament: God Is A Better Choice 1/28/2014 By turtle Matthew 4:8-11 KJV (8) Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; (9) And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. (10) Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. (11) Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. One of the biggest lies of Satan is convincing people he can provide the world to you and everything in it. There is nothing wrong with income or money. Nothing wrong with earning money to survive in this world. Yet Satan way of surviving is not of God. From prostitution, drugs, deception, crazy partying, bad business practices and so forth. One makes choices everyday to serve Satan and his plan of survival in this world or honoring God and serving God by living a life pleasing to Him and in service for Him. The safest way is living by the Word of God, but it does not mean it not without you being humanly imperfect. But spiritual perfect through faith in Christ Jesus. One has to understand one of Jesus reason for coming was to demonstrating faith is giving honor to God the Father. But if He is one with the Father does this make Him self-seeking and the answer is no. Why because when Christ walk this earth in human form he went about doing good and healing the sick. He went about teaching about what it meant to love God and to honor Him in order for the blessings in this life to flow freely. To serve Satan will also put you with devil for eternity. Evil will not last for when the New Jerusalem comes the word of God will go forth across the New Heaven and New Earth and hell will no longer exist only the eternal lake of fire that where the false prophets go. There is a point when Satan offer Jesus the world Jesus refused it. What could Satan give that Jesus did not already have the power to receive for himself. He did not need riches or wealth to fulfill His mission on earth. Had Satan failed to see that Christ purpose for being on earth was not the same as His. After all Satan fell from heaven when he deceived Adam and Eve thinking he had the right to order people around. Yet it was God place to be in charge. Jesus had not fallen from heaven, He was on earth to fulfill the mission of God. His time had come to serve His Father for the inheritance was His upon His resurrection. The Father being in heaven, the seat on the right had of the Father interceding on our behalf saying we are one of His. What could Satan offer Jesus He did not already have. Jesus told him I only worship and serve God. Dear Heavenly Father help us to serve you with a whole heart, knowing your provisions in this life and in heaven will be enough.
