Two Or Three Witnesses

Matthew 18:15-20 KJV
(15)  Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go
and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall
hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
(16)  But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two
more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word
may be established.
(17)  And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church:
but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an
heathen man and a publican.
(18)  Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth
shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on
earth shall be loosed in heaven.
(19)  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on
earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done
for them of my Father which is in heaven.
(20)  For where two or three are gathered together in my
name, there am I in the midst of them.

Everything needs to be established between two or more
witness when one has a problem between another person, yet
the first thing is first it needs to be addressed between you and
the person first to keep the matter private. To keep a matter
private is to show respect. Yet if the person disagrees or it
causes more problems then it solved, then it needs to be
witness in front of more then one person. This way facts are
established. It is like with anything things havingto be
established as truth. Other words you have a situation of your
word against another. At the worse case scenario it needs to
be brought before the church if it is a church matter, business
matters handled in front of a company and if it is a public matter
then it needs to be settled in the courts if it is a problem that is
in violation of the law. This teaching is Old and New because
what it does it keeps one from bearing false witness against
another.

Why is truth so important to God and why must humans need
facts be established. One we are not God. God is all knowing,
and all wisdom. He sees everything and knows everything. We
are only seeing 20/20 if that. Tapes and videos establish more
truth, yet are not allowed in the courts in most cases. The
problem is no one sees the heart or soul of man behind the
audio or video. One can not assume anything of another
persons intention, because one does not know the motive
necessarily. These things must also be established. Our
reactions are not always what we would like it to be. Two  to
use video or audio only proves the existence of maybe it is a
problem, or maybe one is reacting to the response of another
situation. That is reason for private conversation with a person
you have a problem with and then have two or three witnesses
if the issue is not resolved. God said do not bear false witness,
all of our minds are like a computer chip, yet we often deceive
even ourselves. Jesus spoke how things out to be done when
telling and establishing the truth.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the consistency in your
word concerning the need for witnesses, In Jesus precious
name, Amen.
