| Consequences Of Sin And Forgiveness: Lesson 19: Walk Of Faith Is Not A Walk Of Shame 01/17/2014 by turtle John 8:12-20 KJV (12) Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (13) The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true. (14) Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go. (15) Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. (16) And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. (17) It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. (18) I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. (19) Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. (20) These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come. How hard is the walk by faith and not by sight. It should not be hard walk, if the light of Christ is leading you. The Light of the Word of God, the light of Jesus penetrating the heart. If you following Jesus you do not have to worry about stumbling along. Take your eyes off Jesus for a minute and the darkness will be seen around you. Yes evil is in the world, but the light of Christ penetrates the world. Those that believe carry the light of Jesus in their hearts for He writes the law of God on their hearts by the Holy Spirit. Jesus was the light of God while He walked the earth. The Pharisee could not understand by what authority Jesus healed people. Did the Pharisees think they could lasso the power of Christ if they understood the source of the power? Something we can not do is control the power of God. We can not control what God will do in the life of a believer. Sometimes a believer is not looking at the one that is the key to paradise so it seems they are walking in darkness. Yet with every keyhole is a dim flicker of light and as long as you have that key in your heart then you will be able to enter in. You do not want to be not walking the wide road with the red glo going straight to hell. That door open for all. You want the light that is truth, and speaks the truth to all mankind. Jesus is the light to the world that God is real. God is true. Jesus did testify of himself, but he also had John’s testimony of what He seen when Jesus was baptized with water a testimony of belief in God the Father. The Spirit came down and land upon His shoulder. Both the Father and the Spirit testified of Jesus that He was the beloved Son of God. The miraculous healings of Jesus should have been good enough for the religious leaders, but it was not. And so it is today when there is a healing, some believer there should be explanation other then God what happened. They look to science and medicine for explanation, but it still God. Jesus is still in the miracle business to teach us to have faith. To encourage those lost to the world that there is hope through Jesus if one believes. Jesus is the light of the world. The walk of faith in Jesus should not be a walk of shame. It should be a testimony of how God moved in the heart of a believer. The walk of faith is about following after Christ. Easy for our feet to slip and fall, Peter looked away in the storm when walking on the water following in Christ example. Do not be surprised that you stumble, just cry out to Him to save you and he will lift you up to walk to safety of the boat. Dear Heavenly Father Let the light of Jesus shine forth in area seems to have no other lights so He can multiply. In Jesus precious name, Amen. http://www.turtle30cshell.com _ |
