| New Series: Consequence of Sin and Forgiveness: Lesson 7: Prophesy of Evil Fulfilled 1/05/2014 by turtle 2 Samuel 16:14-23 KJV (14) And the king, and all the people that were with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there. (15) And Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him. (16) And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, God save the king, God save the king. (17) And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this thy kindness to thy friend? why wentest thou not with thy friend? (18) And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide. (19) And again, whom should I serve? should I not serve in the presence of his son? as I have served in thy father's presence, so will I be in thy presence. (20) Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do. (21) And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father's concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong. (22) So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel. (23) And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom. As long as I lived the one thing that disturbs me about our nation is the political arena. No matter who in office the loyalty of the presidency. It almost as no matter who side you are on, the man in office has the nobility even among the opposite party. Yet the issue arise when the presidency influence over two parties is so great that both change the way the vote because of influential speech of their leader. I have to wonder who side are you on, the people or the president. Then again maybe the president is right and the other side needs to lay down their defense. Either way the ability to agree and disagree is now put into question. Absalom had gained a percentage of the allies of the people, yet his ways of gaining power was only of God by prophesy and not by him desiring to do the will of God. He desire to use his power to abuse. He desired to use threats of power from the castle of his father. What I mean is God had said that David’s son would defile his bed in front of the eyes of the people. God allowing the devil to do an evil act to teach the people about power, influence and God’ s teaching power through example of things allowed. God allowed Absalom to rise up, He allowed Absalom to defile his father’s bed, and David was king. David was allowed to feel threaten, allowed to feel his power being taken from him. Yet David was anointed by God and nothing would happen to David without it being the will of God. Absalom used the forces of evil to gain power over the people and defile his father’s bed. After all his father had defiled one of soldier’ s bed. He took something not rightfully his. And so Absalom took the throne not rightful his, but to fulfill the will of God, who was allowing evil to reign for a time to teach the people. What can learn from evil arising, besides God’s will be performed, we will understand that devil can only have so many feet of string before God will rip that power out. David’s act of adultery would affect more then one group of people, It would cause a people to commit adultery to the king and to God. Our nation is watching our government effect more then just the life of one person, but the nation has a whole. People watching the republicans being blamed for the effects of money being taken from those on unemployment. Our nation leaders never realizing when on unemployment people are required to look for work and not just sit at home. Or least that how it worked in our area. That the problem big government never getting down to the people level, messing up the lives of people and giving to rich millions of dollars which is some times necessary to keep jobs open, but when that money is wasted for political influence it is evil. When government money used for someone brother in laws bailout and for him to also receive a vacation, one gets mad. So when you get a president in that say no, one has to say what else is going on in the political arena. Rumor had it that he was trying to change the length of term in presidential office. Was that rumor true I do not know. That just as dangerous as stealing those who paid into unemployment money through our taxes. Now what is the point to my political rant, you can not win from any side of the fence. Someone going to loose influence somewhere. No it means Obama Care insurance for the unemployed is not going to work, if they loose their unemployment and not is fined a hundred dollars a month because of no insurance. You thought your world was upside down. Try being in situation of your job being lost. You not only loose home, your car, your insurance to pay for the psychological help you might need, but you loose now your unemployment that helps with the bills of the government housing you have to live in. Next step is the street. The power of government to influence people’s decision and life choices is at the finger tips of political choices. Oh yeah government made a fix for that it called a yearly check up, but it pays for no surgery, or medicine long term. Health clinic cost too. David’s son Absalom was using his political power for evil, to defile and destroy the kingdom, to divide power from the king, so he could rule. Evil does this, instead of seeking a reasonable solution to the problem. It desires to kill and maim the weak. It used to terrorize the people when not in line with the will of God. One has to ask who side are you on. I still state I am neither republican or democrat. I because of this, I look beyond the one side and look at the gray area in between. So it is with the word of God, sometimes we have to look at that gray area of influence and see what God is trying to teach the people. God allows evil to rise, never makes evil right. Dear Heavenly Father help us to understand sin and evil is never right, but you allow it for a greater purpose to teach us of your loving power.
