Micah 5:1-15 KJV
(1)  Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath
laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a
rod upon the cheek.
(2)  But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among
the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto
me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been
from of old, from everlasting.
(3)  Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which
travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren
shall return unto the children of Israel.
(4)  And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in
the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall
abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.
(5)  And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall
come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then
shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal
men.
(6)  And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and
the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver
us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he
treadeth within our borders.
(7)  And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many
people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass,
that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.
(8)  And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the
midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest,
as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through,
both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
(9)  Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all
thine enemies shall be cut off.
(10)  And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I
will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy
thy chariots:
(11)  And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all
thy strong holds:
(12)  And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt
have no more soothsayers:
(13)  Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing
images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship
the work of thine hands.
(14)  And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so
will I destroy thy cities.
(15)  And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the
heathen, such as they have not heard.

Today lesson comes from Micah, the building of the church of
Christ. The birth of coming Lord portrayed through prophesy.
Christ was coming to tear down the enemy. This is perhaps why
many Jews at the time of Christ was looking for a warrior king.
Micah in this chapter speaks of destruction as well as a building
up of the church of Christ. The later rain comes, the gift of the
Holy Spirit to the seven churches and eight principal men. Israel
look for victory through a warrior king, looking for restoration of a
the kingdom of Israel.

Israel will always be a reminder of the strength God gives his
people, a strength that only can come by the Holy Spirit. Israel
will always be a place of God’s people. A place not torn down
but standing tall. Israel is more then just a land, it is about about
people far and wide that knows no boundaries. God sends forth
his people into the gentiles and God people always wins. It kind
of like the battle between the north and the south of American
civil war. The south could of won, if they had not taken time to
party after the first victory many believe. Yet it only gave north a
desire to fight to come down and trample south.

Political government have trampled Israel and Israel has been
restored and then taken away. The day Palestinians took the
temple was the day that Israel mourned. The reason Israel needs
to be over the temple is the history of the temple being told from
Old to New Testament, that is something the gentile nations can
not do. Is the enemy arising to take your church to take your land
only to force the issue of who boss.

Land I live on has been in the family my husband people family
more then once. I had not thought of that point. My husband
cousin owned it before some others had bought it. Actually
several people not of the family had lived there. Then we moved
on to the property. If it was sold it be back into another hand.
Here is the point Israel land was not sold it was taken from them.
The enemy thinks they can destroy the church of God by taking
the land, by taking the property of a people. Yet it not about
taking of land in battle, it is the battle of will and spirit. The taking
of the heart of man.

When a storm blows in and destroys one’s property it is the
removing of the human spirit that must be repaired. Those that
are able to rise up knows the victory of being reestablished.
Without Christ coming to destroy one would never rise up in
spiritual faith. When one is brought to repentance at the cross
with tears, that is the tearing down of the human soul, the
recognition of the unworthiness to stand before the throne of God
because of sin. Yet God does not desire to leave you in your
tears. It is by the power of Christ that we are raised back up to
the hope and renewal of faith. Adam and Eve were stolen by
devil deception from God.

God wants to destroy the deception and evil arts out of the
person life and replace it with truth of the Gospel of Love and
Peace. As the last piece of the house laid on the ground where I
plan to rebuild a new structure, tears began to flow. The
uncertainty of the ability to rebuild loamed over us. With Christ
the tearing down and rebuilding is of certain hope, there is no
uncertainty there. Spiritual buildings built by Christ will stand, yet
at times there has to be a tearing or burning of those things not
of God out of a person’s life. God through His Word, His Son
does the cleaning of the heart by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit
teaches man. The Holy Spirit being the latter rain after the revival
as done and gone. The work of the Holy Spirit continues through
the sanctification process.

The gift of the Holy Spirit is the blessing of God that continues
even after the Word of God is planted in the heart and soul of
man, it must continue to be watered. God sends the latter rain.

The Gospel is told in Micah of the coming of the warrior king. And
in truth Christ is a warrior king, but not one of earthly kingdom,
but of the heart and soul of man.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit
guiding and directing the hearts of your people and commanding
unbelievers to obey and submit to your will. In Jesus precious
name, Amen.
