Daniel 9:21-27 KJV
(21)  Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man
Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being
caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening
oblation.
(22)  And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O
Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.
(23)  At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment
came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly
beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.
(24)  Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon
thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of
sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in
everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and
prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
(25)  Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of
the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the
Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and
two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in
troublous times.
(26)  And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut
off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall
come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end
thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war
desolations are determined.
(27)  And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:
and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the
oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he
shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that
determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

I came to a place at sixteen to go into full time Christian service,
and God spoke to my heart the time period in which this would
happen. I look at the calender and it was not  on church day and
I wonder how could this be. Some of the dumbest things we say
to God should be recorded with outcome. That week was revival
week at our church. I knew then I wanted to serve the Lord full
time. Then came a time period God also spoke to me about a
time of allowing myself to decide whether or not I wanted to bear
that cross. A time period to allow to see another side of life. A
time period of not being “allow to sin” but being allowed for
certain errors. If you ever grew up in a church and you know the
perfectionism that seems to go with Christian living and that all
you know, then it makes ministering to outside world impossible,
if you do not understand them, or walked a mile in their shoes so
to speak. To have quote the security blanket of the church world
around you. Every missionary that goes into the world to minister
has to be on solid ground of Christ. There may not be localize
church, it might be the building of the church they will be involved
in. Being closed in by only the church world the outside world can
be a dangerous place, unless you know how to walk among them
in faith.

God seemed to prepare Israel in a similar fashion. It never
justified the falling away from God Israel did, but allowed Israel
to understand array of culture not there on, by being exiled
among the heathen. They were even able to see the grossness
of their own sin and falling away, to the point when repentance
came for Israel, God already had people that did not fall away
ready to minister to those coming back to Him. The time of
rebuilding of the temple. Time of restoration would come to Israel
before the temple would once again be destroyed with the light of
Christ shining forth. The light of God shining beyond the land of
Israel, but in the hearts of man. God gave Israel a timetable in
which all these things would be through the Prophet Daniel. When
the Savior would be born. Over 438 years later from the time
period he was told.

God does speak to us about certain time tables. However God is
not giving a time for Christ return. For Christ will return like thief in
the night. Only God knowing when that time will be. God desire
to restore his people that have fallen away. He desires to restore
His children when they have had there fill of the world, and
understand why He is so important in their life. Each person when
their time comes will make a choice to serve God or to serve the
world in sin. It is your choice to follow after Jesus. If you are
given choice, then you serve God willing knowing the benefits of
God.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for giving the time period of
when the Messiah would appear so there would be no mistake of
who He is. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
