Matthew 1:1-17 KJV
(1)  The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the
son of Abraham.
(2)  Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat
Judas and his brethren;
(3)  And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat
Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;
(4)  And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and
Naasson begat Salmon;
(5)  And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of
Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
(6)  And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat
Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
(7)  And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia
begat Asa;
(8)  And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram
begat Ozias;
(9)  And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz
begat Ezekias;
(10)  And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and
Amon begat Josias;
(11)  And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time
they were carried away to Babylon:
(12)  And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat
Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;
(13)  And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and
Eliakim begat Azor;
(14)  And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim
begat Eliud;
(15)  And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and
Matthan begat Jacob;
(16)  And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was
born Jesus, who is called Christ.
(17)  So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen
generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are
fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto
Christ are fourteen generations.

I am not to sure if the younger generation view ancestry the way
same way has previous generation. Yet I know depending on your
background and where you live it seems to play a big role. If you
from a small town, people want to know who you are and where you
are from. Who you are related too and if your relations to their family.
Yet none of these things should matter upon friendship but it seems
too. It shouldn’t but it can in small towns. Religious orders often keep
track of who is who, only to know if you are from the right group as
well. What is the right group some might ask. What value is that
group in relationship to prophetic current messages. Jesus was of
the bloodline of King David from both His mother and father side.
David was from both Gentile family and a Jewish family if we trace
the roots back to Ruth.

The prophecy of Jesus came through the line of Judah to David to
Jesus. If one has the desire they can sit and trace the family line
back of Jesus. Yet Paul speaks of not following endless genealogy
and he was priest as well as an apostle. He understood the
importance no doubt of Jesus bloodline as far as prophesy, but he
was ministering to more gentiles then Jews. That were that debate of
a people thinking they are better then another comes in, yet both
groups are equal in God’s eyes. Both having potential of obeying God
and receiving salvation from God through belief in the Messiah, the
Lamb of God. Yet people would want to know what truth was their
concerning prophesy surround Jesus coming. The Thessalonians
were said to search scripture out concerning the prophesy in
scripture. There are groups today that hold prophetic word very dear
to their heart for it speaks hope of tomorrow. Genealogy was one
prophesy that could be easily checked out.

Jesus is the bloodline of David, from the bloodline of Judah, but
Jesus bloodline would only need to be traced to David because they
knew who David ancestors were. The scribes would want to examine
the bloodline through the time of exile. They would examine if
bloodline went to David or not. Was this history missing, no because
even gentiles kept these type of records, if nothing else to kill certain
groups of people that came to numerous. For example the Hebrew
baby boys being killed at the time of Pharaoh and King Herod.

God never attended the separation that is caused by endless
genealogy. God is a God of all people, the Savior was for both Jew
and Gentile to whoever will believe. The promise given to all not just
one sect of people. God desire us to make peace with our enemy for
the lamb to lay down with the lion in peace. For children to play over
the snake hole, and not be bit. Yet this time of peace is short lived by
genealogy or where you live or what you look like and more. God
desires us to be individuals, to allow our uniqueness to glorify and to
magnify his name.

The freedom fighter President Nelson Mandela died at age 95, he
fought for freedom of a people and desire to love despite the
persecution he received so all could be equal in that land. The other
day I heard hate spewed in Africa by one American leaders, about a
month before this man’s death. This fight for freedom of all people is
it short lived by hatred spew, I and many others hope the dream of
freedom of all races remain. It is more power to love your enemy
then to hate them. There nothing wrong with anger, but to treat
others with hate is not good. If we do not fight for freedom to keep
that freedom of alive of all people, we to will loose freedom
eventually for one always rises above the other. Just like Gentile and
Jewish battle, it is endless, but the message of love will only divide
evil from good.

Where do you stand today? God gives genealogy for purpose of
prophesy, not to divide us as human beings. Is your hate for
someone only to destroy because you disagree or is your hate based
on wanting to rid those things harmful in society. Is not your sin just
as harmful to others? Consider compassion to those that are
different, as long as they are not harming children or others.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for proof through genealogy, but let
it not be dividing stone to hate. Let your grace abound in our life for
all. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
