The Prophecy Revealed In Matthew
Lesson Thirty-nine: by turtle

The other day Mongo my cat came looking for scraps and could not find any from my plate. He use to me leaving him a least a little something, but the
other day he had nothing. Such it is in the world there seems to be little left for those truly in need. It not that the rich, middle and poor class of people
don’t give or share, it has to do with the ability to reach out and receive what is there. However if provided it is reachable. Faith is much that way. Faith
for those who thought it was for only one group of people feel they are lost from the hope of salvation, yet find out that it is obtainable through faith in
Christ. Today’s lesson we will continue in Matthew 15.

Matthew 15:21-28 KJV
(21)  Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
(22)  And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my
daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
(23)  But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
(24)  But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
(25)  Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
(26)  But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
(27)  And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
(28)  Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that
very hour.

A woman a daughter of Canaan meaning a Gentile woman, not a Jew came seeking Jesus. Jesus tells the Gentile woman he came for the Lost of Israel.
What does it mean to the lost of Israel, is it only the Jews, no of course not, this is spiritual speaking, for we know Christ came to the gentiles. There
were many people in Bible day that believed in God, yet were not of the house of Israel. Meaning they did not necessarily walk by the laws of the Ten
Commandments.

This woman begins to speak about bread crumbs at the kings table after worshipping Jesus. She was willing to take whatever Jesus would give her
concerning the healing of her child. She was refusing to go away empty handed. Hannah in the Old Testament was much like this woman, yet she was a
Hebrew.

1 Samuel 1:7-11 KJV
(7)  And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat.
(8)  Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee
than ten sons?
(9)  So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.
(10)  And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.
(11)  And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget
thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come
upon his head.

Hannah was pleading with God to a point of saying please I give my son to you, for your work. Just let me have a son. She wanted hope and reproach
removed from her where she had no children. The woman begging Christ at his feet while worshipping Him did not want to go away empty handed. She
wanted her child’s health restore and knew Christ was able to do it. Christ response much like Eli let it be according to your faith.

1 Samuel 1:17 KJV
(17)  Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.

Matthew 15:28 KJV
(28)  Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that
very hour.

With this interpretation of his portion of scripture look at the next story what Christ does.

Matthew 15:29-39 KJV
(29)  And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.
(30)  And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus'
feet; and he healed them:
(31)  Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and
they glorified the God of Israel.
(32)  Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have
nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
(33)  And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
(34)  And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.
(35)  And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.
(36)  And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
(37)  And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full.
(38)  And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children.
(39)  And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala.

Was not the healing of these people enough that Christ then had to provide food. No one but Christ mentioned that these people were hungry and
needing bread. It was not just healing they needed, but they needed nourishment for their journey home. God does not leave His children empty and in
need. He provides, however not always like we want. However Christ provides not only miracle of healing but the miracle of food.

God provided for Moses and the people manna from heaven as well as meat and water for their journey, yet even so the people still begged. God had
destroy the enemy the Pharoah and yet the people still sought for needs of the flesh, much like we all do. Elijah a prophet was taken care of on his
journey and even given food to go to Mount Horeb.

1 Kings 19:4-8 KJV
(4)  But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die;
and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.
(5)  And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.
(6)  And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down
again.
(7)  And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.
(8)  And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

God cares for his people, just like Jesus did. Yet in the first story of the woman, she showed humbleness before the Lord like Hannah. Sometimes we
have to beg God and sometimes we just have to receive His provision. Christ salvation came to all people especially the lost sheep of Israel. All one had
to do was receive salvation. It was free. It was provided. It was not leftovers. However our journey with Christ we able to claim what is rightfully ours
through faith and other times we have to seek God on things that is not necessarily His will but our desire. God desires to grant our desires. If God is for
us who can be against us.

Romans 8:31-39 KJV
(31)  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
(32)  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
(33)  Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
(34)  Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession
for us.
(35)  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
(36)  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
(37)  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
(38)  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
(39)  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
