The Prophecy Revealed In Matthew

Lesson Fifty-one: by turtle
Abuse is a strange topic for today’s lesson, but often abuse is a two way street. It is that type of abuse that is best solved by separation. If you are married you know that abuse and love often can be intermingled at times. If a person seen a spat, they might call it abuse, and yet again it might be a form of communication. If you ever watch pro wrestling some of what seen would be called to some people as a form of cat fighting and others would call it abuse. Most would agree that not a positive way to solve a problem then again it might be. With no way to release a problem it becomes bottle up. It like a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. God’s wrath is seen by many as abuse. It seems unfair to them to hear of wick perishing, feeling all can not be that wicked. Some people want to know how can a loving God send people to hell. Well the next parable explains why when Christ return’s, His judgment will be coming too. If a person only looks from their point of view one only sees the image of what they perceive but if you look at things from another point of view it can often quiet your misgivings.
God loved us so much he sent first the prophets to teach the people. He felt it necessarily first to communicate His love through another human being, in hopes that His love would be understood. We have to remember people rejected God not God rejecting people. Example is Exodus 20. Let us take a look.
Exodus 20:18-22 KJV (18) And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. (19) And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. (20) And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. (21) And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was. (22) And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
The noise of a trumpet is the voice of God. And when God spoke the people were scared and preferred Moses to speak to them. God allowed this. It the same way the first king was chosen, the people wanted to be like other nations so God said okay I give you a king. Will God is willing to give us what we ask for if we ask Him, however what we ask might be our own undoing. Now let us look at Matthew chapter 21 again today, starting at verse 33 with this in mind of how God communicates and gives His people what they ask for. God is the householder in the parable, Israel is the husbandry and the servants are the prophets and the son of the landowner is Jesus. Now read it with this all in mind.
Matthew 21:33-41 KJV (33) Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country: (34) And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. (35) And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. (36) Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. (37) But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. (38) But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. (39) And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. (40) When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? (41) They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.
Now why is Christ coming to judge, because simply people that came to help was refused, tortured and killed because they all wanted the profit from it. There are people in competition with Jesus. They are the antichrist and they desire you and your children. They exalt their leaders and claim they know the way to God, yet there is no truth in them. The purpose of going through Matthew like we have over the last fifty lesson is to demonstrate that what Christ was scriptural even in the Old Testament. The fact Christ taught nothing new. Yet today and even immediately after Christ there been leaders to claim there are new teachings. A new way of doing things, Jesus is old and this is new. Please do not buy into that theology. Christ is the same yesterday today and forever according to scripture. Christ love does not change. God’s ways do not change. Christ represents the word of God in the flesh, and yet we are told to look to Jesus, why because it draws us to God the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus was the fulfillment of prophesy. We now wait His return. However there is a stumbling stone in Zion and a rock of offense. What is that rock and what is that stumbling stone?
Matthew 21:42-46 KJV (42) Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? (43) Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. (44) And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. (45) And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them. (46) But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.
The kingdom of God would be taken from Israel and given to another, because they killed the prophets and God’s Son. However the Roman’s also nailed Jesus to the cross. We all nailed Jesus to the cross with our sins. God tells the Jews in Isaiah that he was coming to the gentiles. Then I will be answer who the gentiles were from the Old Testament.
Isaiah 11:10 KJV (10) And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
Isaiah 49:6-8 KJV (6) And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. (7) Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee. (8) Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
Who were the gentiles make sure you look closely at verse 5?
Genesis 10:1-32 KJV (1) Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. (2) The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. (3) And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. (4) And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. (5) By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. (6) And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan. (7) And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan. (8) And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. (9) He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. (10) And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. (11) Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah, (12) And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city. (13) And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim, (14) And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim. (15) And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth, (16) And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite, (17) And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite, (18) And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad. (19) And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha. (20) These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations. (21) Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born. (22) The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram. (23) And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash. (24) And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber. (25) And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan. (26) And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah, (27) And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah, (28) And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba, (29) And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan. (30) And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east. (31) These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations. (32) These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
Remember Paul said there was no difference between Jews and Gentiles.
Romans 3:9-10 KJV (9) What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; (10) As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:29 KJV (29) Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
Romans 10:11-13 KJV (11) For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (12) For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. (13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Psalms 86:5 KJV (5) For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
Now take a good look at the next verse.
John 3:16 KJV (16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
If you look closely it says God so loved the world. God loved the world. However we must believe in His Son. Believe why, because His Son represents His Word and is the Spirit of prophesy. If a person denies the prophesy then they reject the word of God that came through out the ages. His Word is true and can not be broken, however He laid His Word down for three days long enough for us to understand how much He loved us. He allowed His Son to die for us. We all nailed Jesus to the cross even God.
