The Prophecy Revealed In Matthew
Lesson Forty-Five: by turtle

Forgiveness is one of the hardest things anyone ever deals with. I heard people say they could not forgive. At one time I did not have answer that was
good enough for people that did not think they could forgive. War is due to unforgiveness, as well as in defense of what someone thinks they are owed
and for protection for the rights of freedom. However has great land that America is, how can we forgive the act of one person that felt they had a right to
take faith out of school. How can we forgive a generation that did not fight for that freedom of faith. I believe there are atheist trying to amend taking those
rights from people of faith, however laws are still in affect to tear down our faith, yet our first amendments rights to the constitution establishes our five
rights to all Americans even to the atheist. However how can Christians forgive an act of terrorism from those who attack our faith as well as how can
others forgive attack Christians have on others freedom? World establishes negotiations of establishing that though we do not agree on faith we might
agree we can disagree to live in harmony. In all truth it is also Bible. To have good trade we have to negotiate with people we disagree with.

Can we has a nation even in the middle of war forgive those that attacked on 911. Some will say never and other will say with God’s help and timing. I
personally think it will always be a struggle for many though they may do the right thing. Every generation has to deal with hate and past hate from each
generation. Best thing we can do is love. Love despite our differences and our own bigotries. God says if we can not forgive He will not forgive us. How
do we learn to forgive. We learn to forgive through prayer, through scripture and through recognizing our own logs in our life. These logs are things Christ
forgives in us even after we get saved. What does scripture say both Old and New Testament.

Matthew 18:15-35 KJV
(15)  Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy
brother.
(16)  But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
(17)  And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
(18)  Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
(19)  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is
in heaven.
(20)  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
(21)  Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
(22)  Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
(23)  Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
(24)  And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
(25)  But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
(26)  The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
(27)  Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
(28)  But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by
the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
(29)  And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
(30)  And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
(31)  So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
(32)  Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
(33)  Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
(34)  And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
(35)  So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Genesis 50:16-18 KJV
(16)  And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying,
(17)  So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee,
forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.
(18)  And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants.

Joseph was sold into slavery by his own brothers, but God used this event to save Joseph’s family from starvation as well as Egypt. Joseph brothers came
seeking grain and it was given to them by Joseph unbeknown to them. Then Joseph revealed himself to his brethren they apologized for their sin. Joseph
brother had betray him and Joseph had to deal with that pain.

Here is the point forgiveness is one of the hardest things to deal with. No one does it perfectly but God, but Joseph’s heart on seeing his brothers was
melted some. Why because it been years since they seen them and though they hurt him, he still loved them. Christ love is like that. Christ loves us so much
He died willingly on the cross for our sins. When we receive His sacrifice for our sins even for the sin of unforgiveness, He is just to forgive us. Christ will
enable you to forgive if you ask.
