The Prophecy Revealed In Matthew
|
Lesson Fifty-Three: by turtle
God’s two witnesses were both Jehovah and Jesus. Both with the Holy Spirit within them. Jehovah being like a Father figure and Jesus being the Son figure because He was and would come later. Jehovah God walked in the Garden of Eden. The word Lord in Genesis 2: 4 means Jehovah. The word God is actually Elohim in the Hebrew.
Genesis 2:4 KJV (4) These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
After the fall of man Adam to Noah, God looked for a people that would tell others about Him. Abraham got that job. Abraham was righteous man by faith and called a friends of God. His grandson Jacob name would be changed to Israel the Father of twelve tribes that would testify who God is. The tribe of Israel did their best but they were only human. God sent His only begotten Son Jesus to save those that were lost the gentiles. People who never received Jehovah as Lord. Jehovah Son was the Word of God and He existed even before the world was created. In Fact King David had two visions of the Messiah.
Psalms 2:6-12 KJV (6) Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. (7) I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. (8) Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. (9) Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. (10) Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. (11) Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. (12) Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Psalms 110:1 KJV (1) A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
God sent his Son first to redeem His people and then to redeem the gentiles. We must remember who the second Lord is. The second Lord in Psalmes 110 in the Hebrew is Adon meaning sovereign. The Word of God who is Jesus is sovereign. Though Israel came to a point where they would not hear God’s word there were those that would still listen. The Word of God was instructions for mankind on how to live. Jesus taught how to live and how to love thy neighbor has thyself, but most of all how to love God. Israel would reject Jesus as the Messiah. This rejection would usher in the time of Christ reign on earth. Gentiles who were in power on the earth would hear the Word of God and follow.
Isaiah 11:10-12 KJV (10) And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. (11) And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. (12) And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
The ensign in this passage is Jesus. He is and was offspring of King David His lineage we discussed in Matthew 1. Today we are going to Matthew 22 remembering that God came first searching for His Bride and His Bride name is Israel. The second bride is the bride of Jesus. It is those that listen to the word of God. With this in mind remember the God Jehovah came first to the people some rejected God and His Word. The second time Jesus would come, the word first and then Jehovah.
Matthew 22:1-14 KJV (1) And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, (2) The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, (3) And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. (4) Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. (5) But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: (6) And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. (7) But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. (8) Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. (9) Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. (10) So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. (11) And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: (12) And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. (13) Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (14) For many are called, but few are chosen.
The Word of God would be rejected by Israel.
Isaiah 53:1-12 KJV (1) Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? (2) For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. (3) He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. (4) Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. (5) But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (6) All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (7) He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. (8) He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. (9) And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. (10) Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. (11) He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. (12) Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
This next Psalms is speaking about Christ being on the throne and the bride being from the world, the Queen of Heaven is the bride of Christ who sits on the right hand of the Father with Jesus. This Psalms is also said to be depiction of Solomon’s Throne and his many wives. Christ throne is being compared to Solomon though Solomon can not even hold a candle to Christ. Yet it gives us a display of the royal line of David and the brides of Solomon representing the vast group of people that would be married to Christ. This is not telling men it okay to be married to more then one wife. Yet it is a symbol of who Jesus came for. He came to set the whole world free from the guilt of sin. All people could come to repentance. This is not about sex, but spiritual marriage to Christ. Christ being Lord of one’s life by adoption into the family of God as a royalty equal to bride of God who is Israel.
Psalms 45:6-17 KJV (6) Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre. (7) Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. (8) All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad. (9) Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir. (10) Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house; (11) So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him. (12) And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour. (13) The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold. (14) She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee. (15) With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace. (16) Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth. (17) I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.
The bride of Christ is the church. To believe in the Trinity is to believe in both the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and believe they are equal yet one. Whether the bride is the Father’s or the Son it is those that believe in God and His Word and His Spirit that takes the Word forth. Christ was rejected by His own people, yet even so God can graft Israel back into the family of God the same way God grafted the Gentile nation at the time of Israel. God desires both groups to believe and follow Him. No one was ever meant to be left behind. God loves His dear children He created. Whether you first was Old Testament believers to New Testament believers, or New Testament believers to Old Testament believer of truth of the inter working of faith, God receive you as His child. Some people start with only knowledge of the Old Testament God and others Know God’s Son through the New Testament and learn about the Father. Both go inside each other. God has been hard at work to bring His children to knowledge of Him through His Word, through prophesy. Christ is the Spirit of Prophesy fulfilled and yet to be fulfilled. We learn about God through the testimony of God through His Spirit. The Holy Spirit has the power to convict a person to believe. We must leave things to God to convict the Spirit, however God may use us to teach and to preach His Word. Each must make a choice, it is individual not group decision. It is personal choice to follow Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. For they are one.
1 John 5:4-12 KJV (4) For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. (5) Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? (6) This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. (7) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (8) And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. (9) If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. (10) He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. (11) And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (12) He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
